It might be ok for coffee, but does a lousy job on eggshells
First, I had to break the eggshells into pieces before they would fit into the grinder. Then it was a fight to get it to grind them. I could break them up better. It may be fine for coffee beans or something bigger like them, but it’s lousy for eggshells, which is why I bought it. I’d return it, but have thrown away the box. Live and learn. Only buy this for coffee!There was no velvet bag or cleaning brush or spoon, either. It does have two jars.

Small, but mighty!
When the grinder arrived, I was shocked at how small it was. However, after trying it out, it’s apparent that “size matters not!”. This little grinder does exactly what it’s supposed to do.The stainless steel upper part, gives it an “expensive” feel. The bottom part is glass, which was a VERY nice surprise, since most grinders you find these days include as much cheap plastic as possible. The grinder easily breaks down into 4 separate parts.As for the actual grinding, there are 6 different settings that you can select by twisting the dial. #1 creates a very fine grind, while #6 gives you a very coarse grind. The numbers in between allow you to “fine tune” your grind (I prefer #3). Because the hopper is small, it takes about 3 to 4 “loads” of coffee beans to completely fill the glass jar. The actual grinding is easy, but it takes quite a while, especially if you’re using setting #1. The compact size of the grinder allows it to easily fit into a drawer.The only drawbacks I’ve found are you have to be careful while grinding so that you don’t accidentally change the grind setting. The setting dial is positioned right where you hold it while twisting the handle. The other thing is, it would have been nice to include a cap for the glass jar so that if you grind too much, you could just leave it in the jar with a nice air-tight lid.

Great for my purposes
If you drink a lot of coffee, opt for something else. This product is fine for my infrequent use. I fill the spare container while watching TV and it lasts awhile since I am not a daily drinker. Folding handle makes storage easy. Took a minute, and a few broken nails, to figure out how to finesse it, but now it’s easy to use and clean. Consistent performance.

Perfect for a single pot at a time
This is the perfect size grinder for someone who just drinks one cup a day. It is easy to store and easy to clean. There were not very clear directions, however, it was easy to figure out. The built-in grind selector allows you to tighten or loosen the nut in order to grind fine or coarse coffee grounds. It took me a few times to realize that the selector can be turned even tighter than you would expect for a finer ground. This S5 coffee mill comes with an extra jar with a tight lid to hold the extra grounds until used and I love that it is a see-through jar so that you can keep an eye on the amount of grounds that are left. Although I had been spoiled with an electric grinder in the past, this hand grinder takes a bit more time and effort to grind the coffee, but it works for a single one-cupper!

Nice grinder
The handle is screwed on so it doesn’t come off when your’re grinding. I adjusted it to the medium setting. Makes a nice groundm not too big and not too small. I am very satisfied with my Vanuat Manual Coffee Grinder, so far.

Has a non-detachable handle
This is an excellent little coffee grinder, a real steal for $15. I got it because I misplaced the handle to my Turkish manual grinder, as a stop-gap until a new one arrives from Etsy, but it works so well I may reserve the new one for spices or give it to a friend.So glad to obtain a replacement (after it had rolled under the bed, lol) so speedily, and that it is still available at a steep discount. Much more reliable than electric grinders, and the grinding process is meditative, although I suppose if more than one person wanted to drink coffee in the morning or if you get up in an awful rush the thing might not work out for you.

Dissapointed
I started to grind the coffee and the plastic knob on the turn handle started to disintegrate… there was ground white resin dust everywhere. Now it is super loose like it will fall off. Poor quality.Loved that the handle doesn’t detach tho.
