    Quiet!
Perfect grind every time! Best part is the nearly silent operation compared to any other coffee grinder

Initialy perfect, then the pin snaped on the adjustment plate, so it spin in the vacuum!!!
The grinder was initially in perfect condition, but the pin on the adjustment plate eventually snapped, causing it to spin freely in the vacuum. Because of this issue, I initially rated it only one star. After some trial and error, I discovered that filling the burr hole with a small piece of paper prevents the pin from snapping, significantly extending the grinder’s lifespan. With this simple fix, it now works flawlessly, so I’m updating my review back to 5 stars.

The perfect companion for the perfect brew.
As an avid coffee drinker, I prefer to brew my own morning cup with pour-over. But I’ve never wanted to invest in an electric coffee grinder, mostly due to space constraints. So I made do with pre-ground coffee. The issue with pre-ground is that the aroma stales pretty quickly, and the taste starts to stale after a few weeks too. So this is my first foray into grinding fresh beans just before my brew. The Star Nebula Coffee Grinder is perfect, it’s super compact but has a very premium build, it’s sturdy, durable, and quality. And with the precise grinding customization options, it can grind beans to a fine dust for a smooth, smooth brew in just a few seconds.Easy to use, premium, and reliable, I can’t recommend this product enough for anyone interested in a more premium brewing experience. And grinding coffee fresh makes a huge difference, it retains the flavors and aroma far longer than pre-ground coffee, and getting to choose how fine you grind the beans makes for a far smoother brew. The process of grinding coffee is just really calming and therapeutic as well. My whole morning routine feels elevated every day, nothing like a perfect cup of coffee to jump start the day!

    Broke quickly, waste of time
Mine broke on the fourth use. The small pin that connects to the grind setting, which connects to the driver snapped. Worked well before that, but totally a waste of time. It seems like an easy manufacturing fix (use a better pin material?)

    Great grinder
After having a few cordless electric grinders breaking on us, I was ready for a manual one. This is a nice grinder and it grinds easily. Pretty quiet as well. So far it works really well.

    Grinds really well for espresso
This manual coffee grinder was fairly priced and the grind quality is as good as a more expensive handheld one I have. Here’s what I really like about this one: it has a foldable handle, it has a suction base, the grinding chamber cup fits mt 54mm portafilter nicely, and it grinds beans really well. The parts I don’t love: the cleanup at the bottom of the dial, the capacity is a touch small for a double shot of espresso / 18g, and the bottom dial clicking mechanism. The cleanup can be tedious and there is some loss of grinds and I would have loved a turn dial type mechanism to adjust the grind size instead of unscrewing the bottom cup. The build quality is very good and the grinder is pretty compact which makes it a great buy even with the slight flaws.

    Good quality
This grinder feels solid and well made, and works like a dream so far. It’s a little more work than the travel electric grinder we use to use, but so quiet and just more satisfying to use.

***UPDATE:***Okay, I’ve had this one month now and I’ve used it a minimum of twice at day. I have seen some more of the negative reviews & I started to become concerned and against my earlier comment that I never take them apart, I decided to do just that to make sure that all was in fact, in order.I took it apart, inspected the piece in question and all appears to be good. I put it back togethert and it works just as well as always. What can I say, I must have gotten the exceptionally well built one.***END OF UPDATE.***I am by no means a coffee connoisseur. I like my 1, maybe 2 cups of coffee a day & I nurse them for hours in a Thermos cup. Last year I purchased a slightly more expensive manual ginder, similar to this one, and I absolutely love it.My dilemma was that I go away to cottage country for weeks at a time & I do not want to leave my family without a grinder, so I would pre-grind a batch for myself and that was really annoying.I found this one, reasonably priced and seemed to suite my selfish needs.I also use a Keuring machine & I have NEVER purchased those disposable cups. I ALWAYS use a re-usable K-cup. Beside being way way cheaper, I get to use MY choice of coffee beans and I knows its always fresh, every cup. I have no need to make a large pot of coffee. The one issue I found with both grinders, is there is static cling, and the severity depends on the type of beans – and it can be quite annoying. YOUTUBE provided a very simple and easy solution AND IT REALLY DOES WORK. I pour about 12gms (my personal preference) of beans into the re-usable K-cup container. Then I take a teaspoon, and pour plain tab water on the handle, yes the handle – leaving a few droplets on it. I then stir this handle into the coffee beans AND THEN I pour the beans into the grinder and grind away. Using this very simple method, I have never had an issue with static cling.I have had my other grinder for about a year now. I have never washed it. I have never taken it apart. I have never even had the need to use the supplied brush. It works perfectly and always has.As far as this grinder is concerned, I just recently purchased it and have used it a couple of times and I do not see any issues with it.The suction cup on the bottom is just too gimmicky and not at all necessary- not a deal breaker by any means, but a simple silicone pad on the bottom would be perfect. As far as the other reviewer with the metal pieces. You are obviously doing something wrong. You are supposed to grind the coffee, not the grinder itself. Prior to adding & grinding the coffee, the handle should ALWAYS spin freely and easily, without any “resistance” whatsoever – you would know if that isn’t the case and I really do recommend reading the instructions completely, ESPECIALLY the part about setting the preferred grind – its a very short read, but very important.
