Good to have more precise dials
I like this manual grinder for its speed and the visual feedback provided by the glass ground holder. Once you find the right dial setting, it grinds quickly and lets you see exactly how much coffee you’ve produced. However, figuring out the ideal dial setting takes some trial and error. Unlike my other grinder, which provided clear instructions on how many clicks to adjust for different coffee types, this one, per their product page, only offers vague settings of “coarse,” “medium,” and “fine.” Determining the right grind for espresso required experimentation. My initial attempts resulted in grounds that were too fine and took far too long to produce – almost 8 minutes for a single shot! That was with the dial set about 4 clicks from the finest setting. I eventually found that around 10 clicks produced a decent double-shot espresso.Pros:* Fast grinding once you find the right adjustment (at least 8 clicks counter-clockwise from the finest setting for me)* Produces decent espresso with the right setting (around 10 clicks counter-clockwise for me)* Transparent glass holder allows you to monitor the amount of ground coffeeCons:* Lacks clear instructions on grind settings* The product page suggests the dial settings are imprecise, with only three broad ranges – coarse, medium, fine.* Some plastic parts are present inside the bean chamber, which might be a concern for durability.Overall, this manual grinder is a good option if you’re willing to experiment to find the perfect settings. The speed and visual feedback are definite pluses, but the lack of clear instructions and the presence of plastic parts can be drawbacks.

An excellent portable grinder.
I really like the “ELMWAY Manual Coffee Grinder, Stainless Steel Conical Burr Hand Coffee Grinder Mill, Adjustable for Fine/Coarse Grind for home, travel, and Coffee lovers Best Gifts (Black with Glass Container)”. It works great, is easy to clean with the included brush, easy to transport and easy to store. The grinder holds 3 rounded Tbsps of beans which is the perfect amount to brew 16 oz. of coffee (which happily happens to be the capacity of our Stanley thermal travel mugsð¤). While it’s not as fast as the little, electric, blender type grinders, the thing I like most about this one over them is the uniformity of the grounds. You can’t over or under grind your beans once you know where to set the grinding size you prefer. The included travel bag makes it easy to use when camping! It’s also a perfect gift for the coffee gourmet in your life, especially if they brew their coffee by the 16 oz. mugfull.Highly RECCOMENDED!!!!!!ððððð

Works Well for Smaller Espressos
I love this coffee grinder. It grinds coffee really well, and quickly. My only issue with this grinder is that it does not have the space capacity to grind for a 6 cup espresso pot. This is the perfect size grinder for a 4 cup or smaller. The grinder looks to be well made so although I’ve used it for only a few weeks, I can see how I could be using this for years.

Manual Coffee Grinder for Fresh Brews
The adjustable grind settings allow easy switching between fine and coarse grinds, making it perfect for espresso or French press coffee. The stainless-steel construction feels sturdy and durable, and the burr mechanism ensures a consistent grind every time. This is crucial for optimal flavor extraction. Cleaning is a breeze, and I appreciate that itâs easy to use, simply fill the hopper, adjust the grind setting, and start grinding! Itâs also compact and lightweight, making it great for travel. Overall, this manual coffee grinder delivers quality performance and freshness, making it a must-have for any coffee lover. Highly recommended!

Sturdy, Smooth and Precise
Really happy with the quality and utility of this grinder. Grounds come out consistent, and sturdy glass receptacle holds plenty of grounds. Operation is smooth and fast, and it just feels solid in the hand during use. Long handle length provides necessary torque to easily grind. Disassembles for easy cleaning. Markings on the inside that allow you to select coarseness are a bit confusing on first use as they seem to be indicating more sophisticated controls, but I was able to figure it out. Really a great performing grinder. Very happy!

simp.e to work, easy to grind
This coffee grinder is a whole lot easier to use than I thought it would be. We have an electric grinder but this hand powered grinder is so much more fun. Took me a while to understand how to adjust the coarse and fine textures. Don’t do what I did and let the whole thing fall apart! Works to hold the handle in one position and then turn the thumbscrew on the bottom. I had to experiment around a little as it does have a sort of “guide” which is meaningless if you’ve never had to figure out what the numbers mean and there is nowhere to adjust to any numbers anyway. I got this to go with a pour-over coffee arrangement, for the full coffee experience but that is in the future. Right now I find that filling the hopper with beans and then grinding the whole thing on a sort of medium texture gives exactly enough for one cup of coffee in the French press that tastes really good! As you can tell, I’m very pleased with this grinder.

Small chamber, smooth operations
I used this to make a coarse grind for cold brew. It worked well. Easy to use, liked that I could adjust the grind size. The crank operated smoothly. It took a few adjustments to go from very fine up to a chunkier coarse. The chamber for both the coffee and the little jar to hold the grinds are small. However, I believe this was designed more for espresso which needs less.
