    Everything it claims to be.
No plastic! Avoidance of plastic was the motivater for me. This is all steel and works very well. It’s smooth, quick and easy to use. The directions for adjusting it are as clear as mud, but it’s easy to find your grind regardless of the nonsensical directions. I have only had this for a few days, but I am loving it. It is satisfying to grind by hand. Top marks!

    Good grinder
I ordered this manual grinder for times when the power is out and I cannot use my electric grinder. It is definitely all metal as it is very heavy, considering its size, but as I am attempting not to use much plastic, I am very happy with this aspect. Now, the grind size took a little trial and error because the instructions are about as clear as mud, as my dad used to say. But after a few attempts, I was finally able to figure out my desired grind size. Overall, I’m happy with this product and recommend it for people looking for a manual grinder.

    Heavy Manual Coffee Grinder
This is my first time owning any kind of coffee grinder. I’m experimenting with specialty coffee beans from coffee roasters. I wanted something that grinds small amount of beans as I make a cup of coffee/lattes to keep it freshly ground and provide a better tasting cup of coffee/latte. This grinder is heavier than I had expected and the quality to me seems really good. Looks classy and fits in with my kitchen’s color scheme. Easy to use. Put your beans in the top, put the handle on and grind away. Coffee grounds go in to the bottom which unscrews so you can get access to your freshly ground coffee beans. There are 12 adjustable settings to grind your beans from fine to coarse, with 1 being the finest and 12 being the coarsest. This allows you to make a variety types of coffee beverages, such as espresso, French press, lattes, or regular drip just to name a few. For now I am grinding my beans at #6, for a cup of coffee, which seems to be a good place to start. It is recommended not to wash the inside parts with water, so a brush and bulb for blowing air is included to help clean away residual coffee grounds. I took it apart but had to watch the video in the sales description to see how to put it back together. The instruction booklet doesn’t really explain which pieces go in what order. Hopefully with regular use, I will remember how to disassemble and reassemble the grinder when a cleaning is needed. Use caution though, the steel Burr is super sharp. I am finding it a little wonky to use since it’s a small grinder compared to a larger coffee mill style grinder that is sturdier to handle. The wooden handle part does come off and I find myself pulling it off at times when turning the handle. The beans do get hung up occasionally but I think that’s to be expected with a manual grinder. Plus, I think some of the wonkiness has to do with the fact that this is so new to me. It came in a nice box with a magnetic closure. I’m keeping the box handy in a nearby cabinet so I can access the cleaning tools easily. I’m loving it! Recommend!

    Great compact grinder
This is a great compact manual grinder. It is small enough to take along for travel. It is easy to use and grinds exactly as it should. There are several different grind setting options to accommodate any coffee use. I got it to use for espresso and it does the job perfectly. The fine grind can be set to very fine which works well for espresso. It is all metal construction so it feels very substantial and is heavier than it looks – in a good way. The knob is wood. Overall this grinder is very good quality and attractive as well. It would make a very nice gift for a coffee lover. Mine is a blush pink – a true pink- very pretty.

    Smooth, heavyweight upgrade.
My previous grinder was an inexpensive, lightweight manual grinder with a ceramic burr. It was only being used on occasional weekends so it served its purpose. But after a couple of years, it has become dull and finicky, often getting stuck. Replacing it with this grinder was a revelation. The grinding is smooth, easy and quick compared to the previous one. It certainly requires less effort. It’s also considerably more heavy and durable. And the burr is made of stainless steel (I know some coffee aficionados prefer a ceramic burr for super-fine grinds but I’m using a french press, so I’m doing a coarser grind anyway). The only other difference is that the bottom cup, which holds the ground coffee beans/spices, screws off and on. Not a huge factor but my previous (inexpensive) grinder just slid off and on, making it a slightly quicker process in the morning. Otherwise, this has been a superb upgrade.
