Solid for the price but quite a work out if you want a fine grind, works ok for coarse pour brew
The build quality is pretty good, metal where it needs to be, feels solid in the hand and it cranks ok. Its pretty narrow though so a narrow scoop or some care is required to fill the beans. There are 3 table spoon markings on the grounds window so for my 12oz cup I grind it to the brim for 4 table spoons.To speed it up when I don’t want a work out I use a drill with an adjustable chuck, just don’t over speed it and it should be fine. The crank handle fitment is decent which is nice as I read some bad reviews on other models.For the price it does the job, but you will work for that cup if you do it by hand.*update, as I’ve grown in knowledge I’ve upgraded and learned the differences between this and a nicer model. The timemore c3’s are a much nicer more professional model that can be had for not that much more on aliexpress, unlike this one it grinds much faster and smoother as it rides on ball bearings and has a shaped handle that doesn’t dust your knuckles, the stainless steel burr is superior to the ceramic burr in this one, much more even grind, and the build quality in general is higher. That being said it costs 3 times more. This $12 one is better than nothing but the grinds are uneven vs a nicer grinder. If you can possibly afford more, I’d suggest the new value kings out there ilke the timemore c3.

Good grinder but sqeaky
Stylish, practical, and small. It gets the job done. I’m still playing with the grind sizes to find the best one. The process of grinding is meditative and would be so much better if it didn’t squeak. I’m not sure what needs to be fixed to eliminate that but I’d give it 5 stars if it was silent.

Good quality except for..
The hole in the handle is too big for the nut on the grinder. It will be stripped soon. I need my home brew so I’ll buy another now and use this one until it arrives. Sad because I loved the gray ceramic grinding media. It was very satisfying to use.

not very practical
This little grinder looks cute, but I don’t see the practicality of it if you want to make more than one cup of coffee at a time and don’t want to spend 10 minutes grinding enough beans for it. Besides the small capacity making it necessary to keep adding beans as you grind, the way the mechanism works doesn’t allow you to fully grind everything in the grinder. As it gets low, the beans still in the hopper just sort of tumble around and don’t get pulled into the grinding mechanism. So you never fully grind a batch, which is annoying. It looks cute and is a fun little novelty to play with, but it just isn’t practical for actual use.
