Grinds fine even when dialed to coarse.

Gets Jammed. Bearing broken.
First impression was that this would be a nice product for the price. It feels nice in hand and grinds decent for the price when you get the settings dialed in. But that’s where the good ends and the ugly starts…I couldn’t be more infuriated with this grinder. If you’re trying to grind for espresso, you want a finer grind which means pushing the settings close to the limit. The easiest way to dial in is by setting the grinder at the end limit and back off a few clicks, but with this grinder forget about that! Because the machining clearance is so sloppy, the setting dial bits get jammed up on the threaded rod. To loosen it you have to push incredibly hard against the bur set and twist. This was so hard by hand that it required pliers to loosen.I tried again without going all the way to the end this time. Ground a bit of coffee, which was a little too fine and required backing off a click or two. AGAIN, the burr set was jammed up and required pliers to loosen. After too much trial and error, I achieved a decent grind. BUT, as everyone knows, not all coffee is the same and small changes are often necessary between beans. You guessed it, the grinder was once again jammed :/With the new coffee and burr set finally freed it was the perfect opportunity to clean the grinder. The supplied brush cleaned everything just fine. However, upon closer inspection, the lower bearing was damaged. Pulling out the threaded rod freed the lower bearing which instantly obliterated into many tiny pieces. This was after just two weeks of light use.I can’t stress this enough… DO. NOT. BUY! There’s better options out there for less.

It has a high-end, luxury feel and it is heavy.
Parts are all metal and it has a wooden handle. No plastic parts that I can see. It weighs in at over 1 pound. I use it to grind coffee beans for a moka pot. Unscrew the base, and on the bottom of the grinder is a metal dial to dial in the grind from fine to coarse. The dial has a high end feel, the dial feels like an expensive piece of scientific equipment. And it’s easy to change the grind. I use this grinder for a moka pot, so I’m looking for a fine grind. After a bit of experimenting, I found a grind number that is perfect. Fill up the grinder almost to the top and it’s the exact amount for one 12 ounce mug of coffee from the moka pot. If you are grinding coffee beans for one person, this grinder is ideal. With the wooden handle it’s super easy to grind the perfect amount for my moka pot, I don’t even need to weigh the beans. This grinder is heavy, don’t know what type of metal is used, yet for a small size grinder like this one, it feels like a super heavy metal. With the handle on the grinder it can be a bit off balance and can easily tip over. I wish the screw on base had more weight so it wouldn’t tip over so easily. After grinding simply remove the handle, and it won’t tip over. It comes with a brush to clean and removed excess grounds. The burrs are NOT removable to clean, so use the attached brush and do your best to keep the grinder clean. I would recommend this grinder if you’re making a single cup of coffee. For a fine grind for a moka pot, it’s perfect!

Update:I am removing 1 star because the cap stopped closing properly. I tried to reach out the seller to get a replacement of the cap, but I haven’t received any answer in several days, so I am removing another star.Original:I am very pleased with my purchase. I’ve been using this grinder consistently for the past 15 days, and the results have been reliable. This grinder offers great value for the price. There are no visible plastic parts, and it feels sturdy. As a newcomer to coffee as a hobby, I wanted something budget-friendly yet high-quality, and this grinder fits the bill perfectly.

I use this for Aeropress around 1.5 turns out from zero (16 to 18 clicks) and around 3 minutes steep time with medium and occaisonal light roasts. It makes good coffee for the money. I haven’t blind tasted against pentagonal burrs, but it does /seem/ like it may be a little cleaner, with less bitter edge.My particular Rocky Leaf zeros with burr lock at the “1” setting, so I’ll notate a setting as “1*7” for 1 full rotation out, then keep turning to the “7” mark. This would be the same as counting 18 clicks or 1.5 turns out from burr lock. Many grinders of all price ranges, including the very expensive Commandante, don’t use numbers at all and are adjusted solely by counting clicks, so it’s a nice touch for this grinder to have numbers as a reference.I would note that although this has an aluminum body, and is advertised for durability, it will dent if it falls from 2-3 ft onto a hard surface at just the right angle ( but it still works OK after relieving the area where the dent contacted the lid) so handle it with care.Have fun!

For the price it can not be beat. 10/10, plus it has full metal burrs and it’s highly adjustable. Buy it you won’t regret it. It’s my first grinder and I’m sure this thing will last me years!!
