Good pitcher for making cold brew
Very easy to use with some caveats. One, if you get the white one it does stain very easily from the coffee. Like after one use the filter itself is slightly brown. Accidentally dripping coffee on any of the white parts will leave a mark if you don’t wipe it up immediately. And I’m not sure if it’s just my particular pitcher but the cover doesn’t seem to latch on all that firmly. I feel like I have to be very careful with it. Besides that it does make making cold brew quite easy.

Cold Brew Coffee Maker is Great for Tea Too
I was surprised how much I like this cold coffee brewer. First, it actually held water without leaking even when placed on its side. I have done this several times and can confirm that the water-tight seals do work well. Second, coffee brewed this way do taste different than cold coffee from instant powder. It is also somewhat different than doing a hot brew and then cooling it down.Next is to allow for coffee grounds expansion. Way more than what the instructions tell you. There is a line on the inner sleeve to let you know not to overfill with the coffee grounds. I would go under that line. Also, I started with coarse ground as instructed but found also that fine ground would work just as well. I think that the manufacturer was worried that their filter mesh would not retained the finely grounded coffee particles and so they recommended coarse ground. With the finer grounds, I could get a more intense coffee taste. For my in-laws who like weaker coffee, I use the coarse ground.With this product, one has to plan ahead. That is, brewing is several hours or overnight. I also used this brewer for tea. And it works out excellently.Overall, a good product for someone who like cold or ice coffee. Or even tea.

Seals nicely, does the job.
The seal is a big deal for me, as I need to sit this on its side in order to fit well in my fridge. I was put off by the plastic at first, but whatever Tritan is (we’ll see if the FDA decides it causes cancer like every other plastic), I’m happily surprised that it keeps looking good through hand and machine washes.The cylinder you fill is marked, hard to read but duly marked. Very helpful, I just fill the cylinder with whole beans (to measure), empty that into a coarse grinder, then pour back and screw closed using the “max” water line marked on the container, and though it looks like it will spill… it doesn’t. Ever. I shake it, tip it, lay it on it’s side, nothing. Love that.

It works if you have the ratio correct
If you want full body cold brew then you need to have the correct prep work to get what you want. It is really easy to make bitter nasty cold brew and have all the coffee ground go to waste. Make sure your grind size is correct, I would also shift out any finer particles as it will go pass the filter and end up in your final product that you would need to filter again. If you are a mad man like me you can also run the final product through a pour over like v60 or standard coffee filter. Overall this will get the job and the seal have held up well so far.

I really love this cold brew maker!
I love this cold-brew coffee maker. it’s really easy to make a big picture of coffee and then use it for the entire week. It’s very strong and tastes much better than making hot brewed coffee and then putting ice with it. cleaning out the coffee grains isn’t too hard because you can unscrew both the top and the bottom of the filter and it comes with a cleaning tool. it was a surprise to find out that well initially making the coffee you need to turn it on its side otherwise it won’t correctly so this is a little bit awkward in the beginning but you only do it on the first night when you’re making the coffee. after you make the coffee you take the filter out and use it just as a picture to pull your coffee. it’s also really nice that the coffee inside lasts for a week easily as the days I want hot coffee I don’t have to worry about using it because it will last until I need it again. It feels well built and high quality and there’s nothing more I could ask of it. the lid on the top only has to be turned 1 and 1/2 times for a tight seal and has never failed me. I really like all the market indications both on the coffee filter itself and the picture to know how much to fill everything up. It does take a lot of coffee grounds but you can adjust it to your liking.

I really wanted to like this – in fact, I still do like it, it just needs some minor improvements to be a 5 star product. It all feels very solid and well thought out. Itâs elegant and fits nicely in the fridge. It even comes with cleaning tools. However, I immediately noticed that the clips holding the top to the pitcher are not very secure – they donât snap positively into place. It holds together but not very reassuring. Then, as I was washing it after the first use (yes, it worked great, and was easy to empty the filter thanks to the removable end caps), I noticed that the top cap filter element was already tearing away from the plastic body – see photo. With a bit of gentle prodding, it pulled apart around a third of the circumference and then held securely the rest of the way. I think itâs just a case of being heated unevenly or misaligned a bit during the fabrication process but itâs disappointing. I am still going to keep using it (that top filter screen doesnât really do much, as far as I can tell) and hope it was an isolated defect. If any other areas of the filter come apart, Iâll update this review.UPDATE: the seller contacted me after I posted my review and offered to replace the product for me. When the replacement arrived, I inspected the filter and saw no sign of separation or incomplete adhesion. The clips holding the pitcher to the top also seem slightly more secure. Based on the new product being free of flaws, and the sellerâs proactive effort to resolve the problems that I identified, Iâve revised my rating to 5 stars.

EDIT: The seller reached out and took the issue very seriously. With the help of photos/videos I was able to describe the issue, and the seller sent me a replacement product. The replacement functions as intended; there are no clasp issues on the replacement brewer. 10/10 for seller; 10/10 for product.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I wanted to love this thing. It is plastic, which I normally shy away from, but the plastic is high quality and extremely robust. Everything comes apart and is super easy to clean, which I appreciate immensely. The filter is amazing, it catches even espresso-size grains – nothing gets through it.The one thing that ruined it for me is the clasp of the top. Of the two clasps holding the top of it to the jug itself, one just doesn’t catch on its lip. It flaps up, and it’s impossible to clamp it down. The result is a half-open, askew jug, which is a spilling hazard, nevermind that anything can get into it this way, including bugs and scary fridge smells.If the clasp were fixed (and you don’t mind plastic) this would be a 10/10 item.
