He won’t let us cut them but wasn’t phased by this. The noise level is very low and there is almost no vibration.

It is lightweight, quiet, and feels very well balanced & comfortable to hold. The led light is a nice addition, to help me see what I’m doing. The battery holds a charge well, and the box is sturdy & safe for storage. But — I’m using it instead of clippers and it takes a LONG time to grind through my 18lb Cavalier’s nails. He is still getting used to it, so we only do one or two feet at a time. It takes maybe 30-45 seconds of grinding on each nail, which may not sound like much, but the rotation creates friction so you have to keep pausing every few seconds to let the nail cool down. We are getting better, and can do one foot in about 10-12 min now. There’s no way I would use this to trim a larger dog’s nails, it would take way too long- I’d go with a higher powered Dremel. But for grinding a small dog’s nails in lieu of clipping, or for smoothing a larger dog’s nails AFTER clipping, to smooth rough edges, this would probably work well.

I recently purchased this product and it is very quiet. Unfortunately it will not grind my small (15 lb) dog’s nails. When using it, I see dust, but it appears that it is the grinder’s head disintegrating (not his nails) that is generating dust. No matter how long you hold it to the nail, basically nothing happens.I bought this because it was small and quiet, and $40 seemed reasonable. But I did not expect to have to pay another $25 to get a head that will actually grind a small dog’s nails. They sell the replacement heads in packs of 3: one of which is the same as the “regular” one that comes with the unit, one which is softer, and one which is supposed to be harder. So IF the hard one works, you need to spend $25 everytime you need one replacement head. This is not a good way to do business. The merchant indicates that this product is for small to large dogs and – at 15 lbs – my boy is certainly in the “small” range. But it simply DOES NOT WORK unless you choose to spend another $25 – to get 3 heads – of which only ONE would possibly work. And I am not even certain that the harder head would work.I contacted the merchant and asked to have a hard head supplied and – if it works – be able to buy just those as a replacement in future.Their answer was to tell me to buy the three pack and that they did not guarantee that the unit would work with any specific dog.In their email, they said the following:”We do not have a specific device designed for certain sizes of breeds, but we do have different grid (sic) grinder heads, which help a lot for each breed of dog nails. You can use our device on large or small dogs, but we highly advise using extra hard grinder heads for larger breed dogs. Also, extra soft grinder heads can be useful for smaller breed dogs.We offer three types of grinder heads. Regular, soft and hard. You can try them all and find the most suitable for your dog. We sell them in different packs. The grinding unit itself comes with a regular grinder head.Regular grinder head grit 80.Soft grinder head grit 200.Hard grinder head grit 40.”I recommend buying something that is stronger unless perhaps you have a pocket dog. Can’t imagine how small a dog would need to be for this grinder would work or what a 200 grit head would possibly be used for.

I got this to trim my black labs nails. He’s a rescue and is not socialized enough to go to a groomer. Also, I didn’t wanna spend all that money to go to a groomer for his nails or pay the vet to do his nails. Exactly as advertised easy to use and virtually silent. I bribed him with treats the first couple of times I used it and by now he just sits there and lets me file his nails. I highly recommend this.

No charger or charging stand holder option (either table/wall mounted). My opinion, being that it’s advertised as a Premium Tool, one would expect up-to-date technology/hardware, an opportunity to try optional stones being included with purchase. Update to follow, once unit has fully charged.UPDATE!! “AMAZING” performance!Extremely quiet! Zero vibration!Still stand firm on CONS mentioned previously.Adding ONE Additional CON!Although, the shape of this power tool is ergonomically designed for comfort, it lacks in grip. I have had to modify mine with silicone strips/stickers. It kept shooting out of my hand, like a 3 year old learning to eat a banana! 😂I would like the seller/manufacturer contact me & justify not offering/ including optional grinding bits, & instructions how to change them.I “DO RECOMMEND” THIS TOOL FOR “EVERYONE’S” FUR BABY/BUDDY!THEY WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT!

So I purchased this grinder before I gave up hoping that one day my dog would let me trim his nails without it being a frustrating, stressful and at times traumatic for both of us.I used to take my dog to the vet for nail trimming, and not only it was expensive, but my dog fought and cried and yelped during the entire process I knew I just could not put my dog through it every 3 weeks. I tried to clip his nails at home but it was just an impossible task. My dog would just start yelping even before I even touched the nail to the clipper! So I bough a nail trimmer (cant remember the brand) but my dog would just start running under the sofa to the sound of the trimmer. When I somehow managed to hold my dog and use the nail trimmer, it was awkward to hold and loud I gave up using it.I tried using the over the counter nail filing sticks for human nails but that was a complete failure as well. After reading hundreds of reviews for nail trimmers I sort of prayed the Lucky Tail trimmer was the right choice, and the lord heard my prayers. This trimmer has made a Huge difference! Its quiet and easy to hold. Instructions say that one must make the dog acquainted with the trimmer before trying to use it. I first introduced my do to the trimmer by letting him sniff it and “touch it” at least once per day for 3 or four days. The following 3 days I would turn the trimmer on and off so my my dog would get familiar with the sound – not touching the trimmer to the paws yet. Note that I used tiny pieces of bacon during the process so my dog related the sound of the trimmer to the sweet taste of bacon :)Without removing the trimmer’s cap, I turned it on and gently touched the trimmer to the bottom of the paw, followed by a small piece of bacon. I did this several times during the day for 2 or 3 days. My next step was turning the trimmer on and touch the trimmer to the nail – without removing the trimmer’s cap- followed by a piece of bacon . After a week and a half – sort of- I turned on the trimmer, removed the trimmer’s cap and started gently filing one nail for just a second or two followed by a piece of bacon. To my surprise my dog just stayed still eager to get some bacon and did not mind the trimmer at all! So I can now say that my dog enjoys getting his nails filed! I cant even imagine how I dealt with stressful and frustrating nail trimmings for years unnecessarily. The only reason I give the Lucky Tail trimmer 4 starts is because the nail grinder head that comes with the grinder is not coarse enough and it takes a white to file the nail down “efficiently”. It does work, but it takes a while. Also, there are no Extra Hard nail grinder heads sold individually or packs of Extra Hard nail grinder heads. I had to purchase a 3 pack with a soft, med and hard nail trimmer heads but I know I will only use the hard one and the medium one.LuckyTail, Please make 3 packs of the Extra Hard nail trimmer heads!!! ( or send me some free ones since I most likely will throw away the Med and soft nail trimmer heads I buy.Excuse my typos 🙂

I am absolutely thrilled with the LuckyTail Pet Nail Grinder! It’s the perfect tool for keeping my dog’s nails trimmed safely and easily. The grinder is super quiet and has very low vibration, which made my usually nervous pup feel much more comfortable during the grooming process. The two LED lights are a great touch—they make it easy to see the nails clearly, even in low light.I also love that it’s USB rechargeable and cordless, making it incredibly convenient to use anywhere. With two speeds, it’s versatile enough for both my small dog and my larger breed, handling their different nail needs with ease. The build is solid, and it runs smoothly without any overheating. Overall, this is a game-changer for pet nail care, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient, stress-free way to trim their pet’s nails!
