Quite good tasting French roast coffee beans and being organic! Rich flavors and aroma!
These French roast coffee beans by Lifeboost is actually quite good in my opinion as well as my wife’s. It has a really nice rich flavor as well as aroma when brewing a full pot. We appreciate the fact that this coffee is organic which means it’s free of pesticides and chemicals and overall likely better for your overall health. At the current price point and also having a 30% off coupon, I believe this is a very reasonable price for a great tasting French roast and knowing it’s also organic for those looking for that. Would highly recommend.

Great, high quality coffee
This coffee is amazing. Itâs got a great scent the second you open the package. It also grinds up well and finely to make good espresso. The low acid helps my stomach handle it especially in the early mornings. And even better, itâs organic so I donât have to worry as much about potential chemicals. Overall itâs a great buy!

A Perfectly Average Coffee at a Not Average Price
It’s fine enough coffee. But nothing special about it too. And that is the rub, at an MSRP of 25.15 (at time of review) for a bag it’s just not worth it. It’s expensive and unexceptional. Just get any other coffee that is much cheaper.

Beans very fresh with lots of crema
I was surprised by how fresh these beans were. When I pulled espresso shots, they came out with lots of crema. Has a smooth flavor, very low acidity, no sourness. Although marketed as a dark French roast, I would say it is on the lighter end of the spectrum for French roasts. Overall, I really enjoyed this coffee, and if you are in the market for a low-acid coffee, you’ll likely enjoy this too.

Taste is strong, not bitter
This coffee smells really good before being brewed and after. The taste is strong and smooth. I personally do not think this coffee has a bitter taste or aftertaste. I saw in other reviews that people do not think this coffee is strong but I do. I always add a little more than I should when brewing a pot so it comes out strong anyway. The beans smell fresh and grind very nicely in my grinder. I donât notice the less acidity but my teeth are not staining yellow. I appreciate that this coffee is organic and I am ingesting nothing bad from the farming process. The price is not bad either. If there is a coupon then this coffee is not any more expensive than others of similar quality.

Good for those looking for Low Acidic
I am reviewing the Lifeboost Midnight French Roast blend. I love brewing whole bean coffee, but I recently found out that I have sensitivity to highly acid food and beverages (this includes coffee) so I was excited to try this! I received a 12 oz bag that has an expiration date of December 2024 (hard to see but it is printed on the back), which will be plenty of time for me to drink all of this. This coffee has some great marketing: organic, single origin, shade grown, low acid, sun-dried, and high elevation growth. On their website they claim the have a proprietary 15 step growing and roasting method, and claim to be the only “doctor crafted” coffee company – whatever that means. I obviously have not vetted any of these claims, but they are interesting none the less.But onto what I can vet: the coffee itself. I like the resealable bag it comes in, this is not uncommon nowadays but some coffees lack it, this one does not. Opening the bag I smelled the beans – while the smell didn’t blow me away, they smelled good enough to get me excited enough to have a brew. These brewed well and even after several minutes of sitting, they had a nice foam/froth at the top (see picture). I’ll admit I was a bit underwhelmed by the taste – nothing bad about it per se, it was quite smooth which I like, and I can certainly attest to it seeming to be low acid as my stomach tolerated it very well. But other than that, there was nothing about it that had me craving more. The taste was rather bland, though I had no problem finishing my cup – I guess I was just expecting a bit more on the flavor aspect of it.Conclusion: I can attest to the coffee being very smooth and while I haven’t run any tests, as someone sensitive to acid in coffee I can confirm that my stomach handled it well so if you’re looking for those two attributes, this coffee does great in both regards. However, to me while the smell was promising, the taste was rather middle of the road – nothing bad, but just a little bland and didn’t have me thinking I had to have this coffee again. Combined with what I would consider to be a high price compared to competitors, I am docking a star. If you are sensitive to acidic coffee though and enjoy a smooth sipping coffee, I could see you liking this. I likely won’t be ordering any more myself though.Summary:Likes:â Low acid claim seems to be accurate, my stomach handled it very wellâ Very smooth, nice foam top – looks and smells good!â Organic, comes in resealable bag.
