Customers say

Customers are satisfied with the coffee’s quality, but some find it too light for espresso and dry-looking. They also mention that the beans lack a fresh coffee smell. There are mixed opinions on the taste, espresso roast, and value for money.

    good stuff
Great organic coffee that’s well priced. I use it in an aeropress so can’t speak to other methods but I enjoy it as much or more than anything else I’ve ever tried. I look forward to purchasing anytime I catch it on sale.

    Larry’s Decaf is Delish
I’ve been off caffeine for about two years now, and I’ve been shopping around for decaf beans that are full-bodied, medium-roasted, fresh, and reasonably-priced. Not a fan of blonde roasts (too thin) or dark roasts (too bitter). Last week, I hit the jackpot with Larry’s Twilight Decaf – so much so, that instead of my usual once-a-day, small French press, I brewed a pot so that I could drink all day. And then I ordered three more bags. It’s that good!

    Pretty good coffee
Seems fresh and has the notes it claims to have, like you get a stone fruit flavor and stuff. I would call the roast a little dark but it’s good coffee.

Not espresso roast, medium at best
The coffee was drinkable, but that’s about it. I bought a bag on sale for around 5 dollars, but it really wasn’t worth that much. It reminds me of cheaper coffee such as Yuban or eight o’clock, which are not terrible for cheap bulk coffee, but you would expect more from a coffee at this price point. Lastly, this is not espresso, the beans are a lighter roast with a dirt smell similar to Folgers, would not recommend.

    Love Larry’s coffee
I enjoy Larry’s coffee and their business practices. I have tried multiple blends and have seldom been disappointed in the quality. Because of my experience, I purchased this for a birthday gift for my son-in-law. He said he was excided by the gift and enjoyed the blend.

    Great choice for coffee!
It was such a treat to read everything on the bag. I already liked what I was getting – small coffee roaster, decaf, whole bean, organic at a fair price. And then I felt the actual bag had so much personality and I feel I got to know the roaster more through it. So pleased and am a return customer!Oh, and the beans taste good!! 😛

    Not impressive for espresso
This review is based on the beans ability to make espresso only. Recently the cost of coffee beans has risen dramatically, and I have been searching for less expensive options that are organic. My go to espresso beans have been Counter Culture roasts; Fast Forward and Apollo, both produce a great quality shots with rich flavor and texture. I came across Larry’s #17 and thought I’d give it a try since it’s specifically stated for espresso. First off, it did not arrive fresh. It had a very faint aroma out of the bag and was roasted over 7 months ago, which for espresso lovers craving a good crema is dead on arrival. Second, it required an extremely fine grind to get any sort of water/pressure retention, which was probably due to its age, but nonetheless did not make for a good shot because it requires higher than desired pressure to push the water through affecting flavor. Third, after dialing the grind, weight and timing it fell flat on flavor and texture. Nothing bad, but nothing note worthy or memorable. The search continues..

Larry’s Coffee is the best ever
I have purchased Larry’s Coffee on a regular basis for years. This is the first time trying this blend. I recommend anything that Larry’s Coffee produces! The taste is amazing and the sustainable way it’s produced is a primary reason I purchased from them.
