Smooth and rich NOT bitter
Normally we have no time and just make coffee in the Nespresso. Got some Laird Superfood Coffee on a whim and we are BLOWN AWAY! Got the ground decaf, made it in our french press and found it to be smooth, rich, clean, and completely lacking any bitterness. This coffee is exceptional. This coffee is so amazing, it cleaned up after itself and washed out the french press after it was done being brewed. This coffee then took out the trash, and walked my dog. Ok, only kidding, but really we enjoyed it that much. We also tried it with Laird Superfood coffee creamers and that took it to a whole other level. We highly recommend this coffee.

Great with the Moka Pot!
I had low expectations of this coffee when I ordered it. Laird is a company I had never heard of before, and which seems to focus on a lot of other things and not so much on coffee. I ordered it because I wanted to see what Peruvian coffee was like.Well, it turns out that this is really good coffee. It’s a good match for my Bialetti moka pot since moka pot coffee can sometimes tend towards bitterness and this coffee is not very bitter. I don’t know very much about coffee tasting language, but it’s smooth and has great body. I guess you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover!

It was okay
It says organic but it gave me acid stomach just like the normal bagged coffee does. It was adequate flavour but not preferable to me.

Better than expected
I use a small French press and prefer dark roast/full flavor, sometimes adding an espresso shot. I made a cup of the Laird Dark roast and was pleasantly surprised how smooth and full flavored it was. It didn’t have any bitterness to it and the taste was not weak. This will now become my afternoon cup because of the smoothness….

Freshness? Tasted like cardboard
I’m on the hunt to find the best decaf coffees and this one really disappoints. The coffee is pre ground so freshness is a big concern here. To my dismay the packaging had no date anywhere to be found. After opening the package the first time the biggest thing I noticed was the lack of smell. This was giving me red flags about it’s freshness and quality.Brewing a 15grams in a v60 switch for 2mins produced a cup also lacking in any aroma and the flavor was immediately cardboard. The coffee is very low in acid and quite smooth but to be honest the flavor is lacking big time.It’s possible I may have just received an older package but I would steer clear of this one if you are also searching for the best decaf out there.
