Bought it as a gift for my dad and he loves it. He likes to make his coffee and drink on his way to work so this is perfect because he can just brew the coffee straight on the travel mug. It’s also very compact so it doeesn’t take as much space as other coffee makers.

The carafe builds up pressure once hot coffee begins to fill it and prevents the last few cups of brewing coffee from dripping into carafe and pooling on the lid. Result is you return to discover a mess 25% of the time all over the counter/cabinets/floor. Can’t trust it not to do this! Had to put it on a cookie sheet to catch the flooding. It was perfect in every way, EXCEPT OVERFLOWING. I called Canadian KRUPP Customer Service = Lots of talk, Lots of questions, Promises made but never implemented. I had it exchanged and the same problems with the replacement. Our previous KRUPP Savoy was awesome lasting 10 years without once overflowing or any problem – sadly, no longer made. Sadly, KRUPP struck out and we will purchase another brand. Shame on them.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.Thank God for Amazon’s good service for issuing a prompt refund twice. Much appreciated Amazon!

Fast and convenient for 1 cup
I only need 1 cup of coffee in the morning. This coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee within 10 minutes or less from ground bean and not capsule. I like to buy my own ground coffee which is more economical. Besides I can make my coffee lighter or stronger by the amount of coffee I put in.

Terrible Coffee Maker
Donât buy this coffee maker!! Even 1 star seems too generousThis coffee maker has given me nothing but problems since day 1-I wish I had returned it within the return window.Leaks when you pour coffee from the carafeOverflows regularly and makes a huge mess on the countertop and floor. Like another reviewer weâve had to place it on a deep sheet pan on the counter so we donât have to worry about damaging our floors with coffee mess.After 8 months it has become unusable-it brews about two cups worth of water and then shuts off.

Decent coffee maker for the price
This is a decent coffee maker for the price. I like that the thermal carafe holds as much as it does. The timer is easy enough to program, and the coffee is good. One thing I’m not impressed with is that the coffee is not very hot, even when it is fresh. I was used to making pour-over coffee and wanted something that would have the coffee ready for me when I get up in the morning. This coffee maker does satisfy that requirement, but it does not produce coffee that is as hot as pour-over. Also, filling the water tank is fussyâthe opening for the tank is small and inconveniently placed. I use a pitcher to fill it. Filling the tank from the thermal carafe is a recipe for a puddle on your counter.

Good coffee
Brews my coffee better than my previous Cuisinart automatic drip. I do mis the charcoal filter in the Cuisinart, but perhaps that was the problem? A bigger problem is I drink multiple cups over several hours. The insulated pot is exactly what I needed. The Cuisinart heating element was brutal with my coffee flavor. My brew stays warm and consistent throughout the morning. The brew basket is a minor issue. The flow valve assembly has fallen in my kitchen can while emptying the used grounds a couple of times. It is held together by a silicon cap the doesn’t take much to pop off, leaving you digging through your garbage. If you use the included basket, instead of paper filters, this isn’t a problem.

Makes a decent cup of coffer, but needs TLC
This coffee maker replaced a beloved carafe-less Hamilton Beach. We wanted a carafe we could put on the table and I wanted something solid and not glass. The carafe is solid and does keep fresh coffee hot for hours. However, the I wish it made the coffee hotter (I think this get the water about 150F). We often have to microwave our cups of coffee about 30 secs to get them to the temp we like.The controls on the maker are fairly easy to use and the programming feature works well. But beware… if you don’t set the pot perfectly into the maker before letting it start on its own you’ll wake up to overflow you’ll need to clean up. There’s also often an overflow of grounds into the reservoir and we’ve recently had to run a vinegar cleaning to clear out the water intake tube. Still dialing in the right grind for this pot. It fits the bill right now and I’ll enjoy it while it works, but if it needs replacing in the future will likely look elsewhere.

Display not working and it’s only 10 months old
I liked this coffeemaker due to its carafe size and that the coffee tastes good. It does take a while to brew a full pot (almost 15 minutes) which is longer than our coffeemakers in the past needed to make a full pot. However, not a big deal as I program the pot to brew so it is ready when we get up. This is a nice feature, until the display starts to fail. Now we can only read part of the display as certain parts of it no longer light up. For a coffeemaker that is used once a day and was bought the end of January 2024, it should not be failing. I contacted Krups about the warranty and was told they will repair or replace it if it isn’t repairable. I need to carefully package it up and ship to them with a label I would get in my email in the next couple of days. I asked how long this process would take and was told 4 weeks. No one will wait 4 weeks to get their coffeemaker returned to them. Ridiculous! They are banking on most people just buying another maker. That is my plan too, but it will never be another Krups coffeemaker. Be weary if you buy this as the quality is poor if it only lasts 9 months.
