It’s smaller than it looks, 6 cups is exaggerated unless they mean those small fancy cups and saucers you get when you drink tea at your grandma, it certainly won’t pour 6 mugs of tea, but it’s a very pretty tea pot.

Cute and functional
Itâs cute, and itâs not super big (cup in photo for reference) but holds a good amount of tea. It doesnât leak and hasnât stained. My other teapot stained after a week of use but this one is still perfect 🙂 Love it!

Black not true black, but the color is nice
I ordered the black teapot.I have mixed feeling about this. The color isnât what I would call black per se. But… this doesnât bother me that much, as I wasnât attached to black for any reason.It has a blue-green-black color that changes depending on the light it is in. I find this effect cool, but you should be aware it will only appear black in dim lighting. I tried to show this in images, one with less light, one with a light on next to it, one with flash. You can see this changes the color of the teapot. (I personally find the blue color to look classy and unique and like how it changes day-to-night.)The teapot itself is ergonomic, easy to use, and holds a lot of tea. I have brewed several batches in this teapot and it turned out wonderfully. Construction looks quality.I wouldnât say the color difference is a con, so I am not taking off a star BUT I would have if I strongly wanted a black one.

Does Not Serve 6
I was excited to get this teapot but was disappointed by its size. The description says 40 oz and serves 6 cups of tea. It will hold 32 oz. of water. If you try to put in 40 oz., it will likely spill out from the cover, and you’ll burn your hands. I bought this specifically because I wanted a larger pot. The photo shows the pot alongside a 16 oz mug. Also, there is no “lock” for the cap. It is pretty. I bought the blue.

Nearly perfect ~ pleasing shape, no dribbles, easy to clean
This teapot is nearly perfect, and the only reason it isnât is because the lid does not have a safety notch to keep it from coming off when tilting the pot for that last cup. I suspect that design choice was due to the large micronstrainer, so you do have to use a two-handed pour when tilting the pot past center. Otherwise, a sheer delight! No dribbles and a large capacity.
