Quality product, will definitely last a long time.
I Bought this to make more use out of my wife’s kitchen aid and can say it’s worth the price the quality is better than expected.The pieces are made all of metal and the grinder seems to be cast iron with does put it on the heavier side but not to heavy, about the same weight as a 10in cast iron pan. It’s easy to use and quick to clean up. Make great ground beef for hamburgers and meatballs.

Saves me a ton of money!
I make homemade dog food for my dog. Buying ground beef or pork or turkey is expensive. I now buy meat that is on sale, usually less than 1/2 the cost of the ground meet and I grind it myself. After 3 or 4 uses it has already paid for itself. I also like the well designed box it comes in, holds everything and I use it to store the grinder when I’m not using it. Keeps all the accessories and manuals and cleaning tools together. Grind quality is great, super well built and is something I’ll probably have for a lifetime.

Great grinder – Read the instructions
This thing works really well, I made a bunch of ground beef the first time using it. It’s easy to set up and use, it’s not loud or messy at all. It’s very solidly made too. That said – ProTip: Read the cleaning instructions. It even says “Not dishwasher safe” on the bottom. Did I see that? Nope. What did I do? Toss it in the dishwasher. So now I’m buying another one.Amazing grinder, it’s only drawback is user error.

So far I have ground about 60 lbs. of beef brisket to ground beef (not all at once, over 4 different sessions). No issues whatsoever. I have gone thru a couple of the plastic versions of this product. Well built. Different sizes of grind plates are sufficient for just about anything. Easy to clean (hand wash only). Well worth the price. I think it is a must have if you have the mixer to attach this too.

Buy no cheaper imitations
I tried two other cheaper knockoffs and they sucked and were returned. The genuine Kitchenaide product works great with zero issues. Put it in the freezer for an hour or so before use, hook it up quickly, and keep the space and yourself sterile. Have your meat deeply chilled and it will work flawlessly. Clean thoroughly in detergent until the next time. I buy chuck roasts on sale and grind: best burgers ever.
