Fresh and Smooth with Dark Chocolate notes……YUM!
This is my first time trying the Grizzly Claw dark roast. The flavor exceeded my expecations and the description was accurate- you can definitely taste the dark chocolate without it being sweet. It’s also very smooth with a lower acidity. I have an older Keurig Duo and this grind worked perfectly in my machine. There were no brewing instructions on the bag so I had to wing the amount used. I used just about 12 tbs. for an 8 cup pot and it was perfect for me as I prefer it a little strong and bold. This will make an excellent dessert coffee and I can’t wait to try it with cheesecake. It’s also one that would be great for baking cakes/brownies or using in mixed hot and cold drinks. Can’t wait to try this in the whole bean.

strong, dark and handsome 🙂
Oh this coffee is so good. It’s high quality coffee, which explains it being on the pricier side. Totally worth it though. I’m a coffee snob and I love this! It truly is dark, which I love. I love to make expressos with this one.

Great
Now, this is coffee. I love the smooth dark flavor. It seems very fresh. The price is high considering many other great coffees are out there. I will buy it now and then.we went through the 10 ounce in 5 days.It is a very dark and bold flavor so not for people who prefer a medium/ light .

Great robust coffee
I looooooooooove Kicking Horse Coffee. I had a subscription at one time so I got a different pkg every couple weeks! It IS delicious. It IS enjoyable. However, the price skyrocketed in 2021, and I have a budget.I found something called breakfast blend at a grocery that rhymes with Galdi… and it’s only 4 bucks.I’d pay the $9-10 that I once paid guilt free, but I just can’t fork over the going rate today without wincing.

Delicious
Found them in a comment on TikTok for recommendations on organic mold free coffee. Most options are ridiculously expensive, but this is not, so I took a chance. I am a coffee snob. I love dark flavorful roast. This is now my FAVORITE. Will be a forever customer now!

Pros: not bitter; doesn’t seem to upset my stomach either.Cons: not flavorful, no delicious coffee smell either – I couldn’t detect anything even resembling chocolate flavor nor enjoy the aromatic smell of coffee. The overall experience was pretty meh, and I wouldn’t recommend this coffee at this price.

Something remarkable about the roasting. It’s a blend. But truly “deep”. Never bitter.
It is also fair trade, 100% organic, and Kosher. I have zero to complain or criticize about this coffee. I fell in love. Allegedly the famous big band leader Benny Goodman slept with his clarinet — I’m feeling similarity with this coffee. I don’t have a sense about the high-nose hints “of chocolate”, and it is the opposite of ‘truckstop coffee’. It is not ‘flavored’, but boldly stays a coffee on its own. Has a deep roasting like no other I’ve had — and I’ve been drinking coffee for 55 years, starting in Cajun French country of south Louisiana where coffee is king.My wife and I stayed at a private house bed & breakfast in Victoria BC in April of 2018. There was a bag of the KickAss blend sitting for us on the tray in our room. Ours. It was a welcome gift. Roasted and bagged in the small town Invermere in the Canadian Rockies. We brewed some that afternoon and began looking for it anywhere life carried us. Why after drinking coffee for 50+ years this one caught me, I can’t say, but my wife too — who is from Guatemala where coffee is a natural environment — knows Kicking Horse is different. I’ve only hopped briefly between other brands as a matter of life’s grocery stores, but finally saw Kicking Horse was available in Amazon. The price range can be wild, (7.99 to 12.99) in the markets, but — at any price, I’d give up wine for this coffee if I had to choose. Remember, all coffee brands make claims. I don’t know the simple mystery of why Kicking Horse is so delicious and is what coffee should taste like, but I am not surprised Lavazza of Italy bought 80% interest “because coffee sales in Europe were stagnating”. And they go to THIS company? Think on that.

Excellent coffee! I decided to give this a try when I came across it on special. While I may not be a coffee ‘connoisseur’ I do consider myself to know a good cup from a bad one. And this coffee is EXCELLENT! I only regret not trying it immediately after I received it because if I had tasted it right away, I would have stocked up while it was on sale! Now it has a permanent spot on my list and the next time I see the price drop, I will not hesitate to stock up. And the next time, I will also give a couple of the other types a try. I was very satisfied with it.

This Kicking Horse Grizzly Claw Blend is my wifeâs and my personal favorite for pour-over coffee. The dark roast is rich and bold, with a smooth, full flavor that we love. The fact that itâs organic and Fairtrade is a plus.Weâve been enjoying it daily and highly recommend it to fellow coffee lovers!
