Not too big or small as either a insulated coffee cup or a water bottle
The Keepcup Cup-to-bottle kit is the Keepcup Traveller and bottle is an insulating stainless steel modular coffee cup (i.e. keeps contents hot/cold) and water bottle. The medium size bottle can be either a 12 oz coffee cup or a 18 oz water bottle as needed. I appreciate it because my days start with coffee in the morning, but I switch to drinking water the rest of the day. And the 12 oz cup is just the right size for coffee, but 18 oz as a bottle is better when I am drinking water. As a coffee cup, this is a Keepcup Traveller, in some places known as a Keepcup Helix. This means that it has a screw-on lid as opposed to a press fit lid. In addition, Keepcup solved the problem of leaking through the opening where you drink from by having a two part gasket, a lid from the top and a gasket on the inside. When closing the opening, the two parts screw together and forms a good seal on the opening you drink from. Among cups that actually are leakproof, this is a relatively easy system. It ships disassembled with instructions so you learn how this works (and there are instructional videos on YouTube).Compared to my 16 oz stainless steel tumblers with a lid and gasket, this is the right size, fitting into backpack side pockets that my 16 oz tumblers do not. Again, because it is a screw top it actually is leakproof, so I don’t have a need to hold it upright when walking with it.As a waterbottle, the coffee part is the bottom half and bottle top screws onto it. The two parts makes it easy to clean and dry, and again, it fits into some backpack side pockets that some larger water bottles do not. This is my first exposure to reusable cups designed to enhance the coffee drinking experience. I like the size, especially compared to the normal American bigger is better. I also appreciate that the top opening is consistent with the size of a coffee cup for drinking, as opposed to tumblers with straight sides sized for car cupholders. With the lid off, the feel in hand and the smell of the coffee are like what a coffee experience should be when I want to enjoy drinking good coffee.I have also used the upside down lid as a pour over brewer, which is a happy design accident. It probably takes a size 2 filter (I only have size 4, which is much larger than needed) It goes deep into the cup, so it is probably only good for 6-8oz coffee (i.e. 1 cup, not 2) or else this turns into an immersion brewer, but it could save bringing additional coffee making gear on a trip. The interior is stainless steel, which makes the cup an insulator and does not leach into the drink. Some say that it gives a metallic taste. When the lid is on I don’t notice it. With the lid off (i.e. I am drinking from the stainless steel part) I can sort of notice it if I am paying attention. I mostly notice it when drinking water as a bottle. So I agree with commentators saying the metallic taste is actually the drinker’s lips on the stainless steel, not stainless steel interacting with the drink. In short, I very much enjoy this. I don’t have another leakproof, truly insulating coffee mug, so this fills that need. And it is reasonably sized so I’m more likely to carry it around with me. The conversion to a water bottle or a small pour over brewer are bonuses.

Purchased direct, leaks whenever you drink
I have been a keepcup customer for a long time. I needed a new water bottle and bought this direct from keepcup. The first time I filled it, it leaked whenever it tilted. Right out the side. I took it apart, washed everything, reseated the seals, and reassembled it. It still leaks.I contacted their support team. They told me to make sure the seals are in place. Their policy is stupid. They won’t take returns on used products, but also you can’t know if it leaks unless you use it.Their support doesn’t respond often, the cup leaks, and all I want is my money back. I’d recommend staying away from this.

It’s a high quality bottle, and you can transform the bottom in a coffee cup.The only thing is that the lip and mouth of the bottle are in metal which i didn’t realize when i bought it, and my skin is reacting badly to metal. I thought it would be in black plastic. So i use it with a long silicone straw that I bend and place in the bottle when i want to close the cap. Not a big deal.

A great combination of 2 compartments that either make a reusable mug or bottle. It looks stylish and is made of great quality plastic components. It doesn’t matter what you want to have on you as a drink. Coffee, water, tea, iced tea, soup, broth, juice – you name it.With the 2 components that can be screwed together you’ll always have the right fit for the liquid of your choice!A lifestyle product that I gladly recommend ð ð ð âºï¸ ð

This keepcup is fab! It’s exceptional quality. I had to follow the online instructional video to assemble the lid but that’s OK. It’s design is very clever and really nice to use. Comes apart completely for cleaning too. A very high quality reusable cup!
