I use this container for freshly ground coffee and like it. It looks very nice. A modern look. Seems quite sturdy. The lid seals well and works better than expected. The brass colored lid needs an occasional wipe to remove fingerprints. I would like this storage jar if it were a bit wider. There are some plastic elements in the lid, so Iâm not sure it would last ten tears of frequent usage. Otherwise, it appears to be of high quality construction. I recommend it.

Much Better than those flimsy SS flip to coffee containers…
I had ordered one of those Stainless Steel Flip Top Coffee Canisters in black and was sent a silver one.I took a minute to look at the S.S. canister since it was to replacing an older pottery flip top canister that broke. Well I was suprised how thin and flimsy that canister was and didnt think would last very long in the kitchen. Long story short I surfed through Amazon and found these canisters of different sizes. Very nice thick glass on the bottom lid pops up, comes off easy and get your scooper in there for your favorite coffee. They also make square model with brushed SS lid look. they look good on the kitchen counter.

The canisterâs shipping box was way too big, there was no stuffing to secure item from moving around. The canisterâs box looked like it was opened, and not new. On closer inspection the canisterâs top did not tighten onto glass carafe. The black decorative band had a sharp edge that could cut during use. Iâm glad Amazon had some replacement solutions other people found useful that I chose instead for coffee storage that was airtight and less expensive too.

I grabbed two of these cannisters because I needed to store whole coffee beans and a cannister for after they were ground, and these fit the bill perfectly! Perfect size and seals very good! No complaints at all and looks very good!!

Great product for coffee- large size not big enough for cereal
I bought these in the largest size as well as the medium size. I was hoping to use the largest height size for cereal so it matched the coffee jar. Unfortunately it just isnât built for cereal- the inside locking lid mechanism takes up a lot of space so itâs not efficient for the amount of cereal it would hold. Still giving it 5 stars because it does what itâs supposed to do, but wanted to write a review for my purpose in the event someone else was pondering the same. (Also- why is it so hard to find modern cereal containers?!)Highly recommend this in any size for coffee- the middle size is what is shown in my image. It is easy to use, the black finish doesnât hold fingerprints and it looks great on the counter. The only thing Iâll mention is the top does show fingerprints because itâs shiny, and when you wash it, it does take time to dry because there is a gap in between the black and glass parts, but those things are no dealbreaker for me.UPDATE: I have clumsy hands and let it slip onto the bottom glass edge. It did break. I am buying another to replace as it my error. If youâre clumsy take note.
