This thing is an absolute TANK!
My father has been on the hunt for a good electric grinder that not only makes consistent end product but can also handle the stickiest of sticky buds without getting gummed up and difficult to move. I’m very pleased to say this K5 grinder by Kactus Krusher checks off all those boxes and many many more!Function:The grinder uses a milling plate on top that grips the bud and forces it through a die plate that comes in various hole sizes for your preferred grind level. This method eliminates the need for interlocking teeth you see in a traditional grinder, which is the major fail point in those designs. The device flips open where the two plates meet with a latch and hinge, and this is where you load the product to be processed. The kit includes a brush to clean off the hole plate, and he used a small paper towel with a dot of rubbing alcohol to wipe down the upper mill plate and never had and build up.Electric Motor:Dealing with arthritis and mobility issues, gripping a grinder hard enough to power through today’s potent and dense buds has become quite the task for my father. This started the hunt for an electric grinders, but up until now they all fell short in the power market. If you didn’t pre-grind the buds, or put more then a 0.1 in the chamber, the motor would seize up and buzz. He tried one with the chain-ball blades but that just knocked the bud around the camber and left huge chunks when it was done. The K5 has an interesting milling setup that spins the motor and powers the upper milling plate, and you press down the plunger to engage the flower and force it through the lower die plates. THIS WAS HUGE!! Sure it did require some force, but the user just needs to push down with minimal weight and required no grip strength to get a consistent end product. We tried some 35% sticky almost tar consistency bud and it has no issues breaking it down on the medium size plate. The amount of force required to press down the plunger is negligible at best, and can often be done with one finger or your thumb if it’s very dense.Collection:After grinding the flower drops into the bottom collection bin that is magnetically attached to the upper portions. There is an LED that turns on when grinding is in motion you can see through the plastic, but it’s too dark to see anything inside and it’s really more of a gimmick. The added LED also means you have to pay attention when putting the collection tray back on since only two corners have magnets and the third is cut out for the LED. Finally following in suit to other grinders, there is a bottom compartment for the crystals to fall into which is cool to have – but in my experience I just scoop it up and top a bowl every not and then and wouldn’t be mad if it wasn’t there… I would just put the crystals in with each run rather then bank them over several to have a larger amount.Value:This grinder runs around $100 in most cases, and can be had on sale often. When you compare it to a $15 novelty store grinder it seems like a waste – but when you compare it to nicer electric grinders it’s actually on the lower side. Sure there are some electrics at half its price, but after wasting money on 4x different inferior electric grinders we found this is the only one he actually uses. I’ve seen other manual grinders with the similar milling method used, just without the electric motor, that run around $100+ right next to other high end/botique traditional teeth style manual grinders… so in comparison it’s not too bad at all.Over view:In the end having the advanced milling style grinder that was easy to clean, easy to use, and didn’t require grip strength all paired together to make this K5 grinder one of the nicest, most innovative, and easy to use design that made it well worth its cost – even without the discounts! If you are having issues with difficulty using grinders due to hand strength, or sick of dealing with gummed up parts and don’t move right, this grinder is right up your alley! Just note – it’s on the larger side and really intended for home use and not something you will toss in your pocket and go but if you know that then this grinder is an A+++ buy!

    Novelty item
So I’ve tried out all of these little electric Grinders on the market specifically geared towards and they all honestly just fall short for one reason or another. Specifically this one it’s just like all others you’re lucky to do a gram or two at a time you try to put three in there of good dry product and just makes a mess of it doesn’t grind it or push it through completely pancakes it so again in short the idea is good but it’s not executed well poor materials poor design it just won’t last under serious use. You’re far better off with the old school coffee grinder and now that they offer coffee grinders where you can remove the cup to clean them that’s game changer for a fraction of the price the only downside is they’re not cordless but this ain’t going to hold up and it’s not worth the money

    A beast
This thing is a beast goes thru flower like nobody’s business. Very well crafted good quality does exactly as advertised. Takes a while to charge initially so be patient but last a long time between charging. Awesome how you can change grind from course to fine. I love this grinder buy it it’s worth it.

Perfect for grinding large amounts of…. “spices”
I LOVE this little grinder. I’ve purchased the repurposed coffee grinders that pulverize your flower into what appears to be magic sand, which is great if you love inhaling little bits along with your smoke. But the K5 is a game changer! The three sizing plates are a great option, I use small for when I’m grinding mids to make cannabutter, and medium for my smokables. Operation is easy, the battery is long-lasting, and it charges incredibly fast. Can grind about an eighth without any pressure on the motor, but I wouldn’t recommend overpacking it. If you’re a regular smoker, this is leaps & bounds beyond your typical hand grinder, and it’s even cheaper than some of your more “lux” hand grinders. Super happy I made the investment!

I finally found a grinder that doesn’t produce any dust!
I have used every type of grinder. I really don’t like the hand turn ones. They take way too much time and effort. And all of the electric ones I have used don’t do a good job because if you are not extremely careful, they mash the buds to dust.Kactus Kutter changes everything! And it is by far the easiest grinder I have ever usedIt gives you a choice of the 3 screen sizes that you use, and any product comes out perfect! It really ups your rolling game. You will definitely notice a big difference! While it struggles a little if the product is too moist. I don’t have one complaint about this.I’ve had it for over a month and I’ve only recharged it once.Well, it is a little pricey, as they say you get what you pay for! This saves me so much time and energy that I highly recommended it!

For the money, it’s quality it saves time. I love it easy to clean super easy to use. If you think this is a coffee grinder it’s not, this is exactly what I need. I’ve been on the 420 for 49 years. I love it

its not cheap but if you have gone after a decent hand grinder they cost about $100 anyway, the design and functionality of this grinder is above expectations. Everything removes for easy cleaning (only cleaned once after a month of grinding) The amount it can grind at once is fantastic (I like fatties lol). The battery lasts a long time (Only charged it once still at 3/4), the only down side is its size its a bit to bulky to bring with you.

Does not do good with moist sticky weed, it will work but it will be squished. It’s top heavy so be careful. Wish it was more portable. A piece that’s stays on top of a desk. I had to put some rubber padding on the backside so I can lay the machine down scared to knock it over. This will break if it falls 100 percent.
