When I broke this tea pot’s predecessor, I was heart broken. It was an old friend over MANY years. But, I’ve been wonderfully surprised. Besides being beautiful (and unbreakable) this one’s very functional. It’s a perfect size for two large cups of tea. The tea basket is large enough to allow the water to circulate freely among the tea leaves. The hob nail trivet it rest on actually keeps the tea warmer than sitting directly on the granite counter. I rated it four stars because it’s heavy (What do you expect from a metal tea pot?). And, the jute wrapped handle is a little funky and loose. Still, It’s a great tea pot and makes excellent tea.

The teapot is heavy and holds the heat perfectly. I boil the water in a separate pot and steep the tea in the teapot. It seems like the tea has a better deeper flavor in the pot. I like the trivet, then I can bring the pot to my desk while it steeps.
