(but not perfect)
I have had the Z10 and milk chiller for 8 months now. It has made 2000 coffees and not a single issue. I do not regret such an expensive investment. I do maintenance when the machine tells me to, and I use Jura products for the maintenance. I use whole milk in the chiller and Lavazza Super Crema beans in the machine. The Good* makes great coffee* maintenance isn’t too bad* no mechanical issues* easy to useThe Neutral* coffee sizes are small* adjusted presets on most all drinks to increase volume. After adjustment a latte is still around 7oz.* adjusted/increase preset milk temperature to max for each drink otherwise coffee wasn’t hot enough (no universal milk temperature setting – must be set per drink) (default milk temperature is too low – drinks finish warm and not hot)* spend average of 20 min per week on maintenance (changing water filter, cleaning milk head, cleaning milk chiller, cleaning cycle on machine). Do each as machine tells me to, and using Jura products only. Costs maybe $15-20/month.The Bad* wifi just doesn’t work. Don’t even bother, app doesn’t work without wifi. No remote functionality.* emptying drip tray is frequent; could use a larger tray.* the cost of the machine* the beans stick and don’t naturally fall into grinder. I stir them periodically to get them to fall.Update: we loved the Z10 so much we decided to get another automatic machine for our second home. However we got a Delonghi Rivelia which is around $800 instead of $3000 because we aren’t there very often. This machine isn’t available yet in America, but I wanted to compare the two. I have to say the coffee in the Rivelia is just as good and perhaps hotter than the Jura. The Jura with milk chiller has it beat in convenience – it is a true press one button and take your coffee. With the Rivelia you store your milk cartridge in the fridge, so you take it from the fridge, snap it in, choose your coffee, adjust the milk froth setting, take your coffee, put a second cup under, turn the milk dial to clean, then empty the milk cleaning water out of your second cup, put milk back in the fridge, then enjoy your coffee. So for $2200 you save a few extra steps. I haven’t had the Rivelia long enough to judge reliability. The Jura is going over a year making many coffees a day without a hiccup (with me doing all maintenance as the machine tells me to do it). I’m impressed with the Rivelia and its price. It has more steps but makes a great coffee and is less than 1/4 of the price. If budget is a primary factor I would do the Rivelia all day long. I’m enjoying both machines with no regrets with either one.

I’ve been using the Jura Z10 every day for the past six months, and I think it’s about time I shared my real-life experience with fellow coffee lovers considering this machine. It’s a hefty investment, so I wanted to make sure my review is as honest and practical as possible.**Quality and Ease of Use**: Straight off, the Z10 feels solid and well-made, almost like something you’d see in a coffee shop rather than a home kitchen. It’s user-friendly and tech-savvy, which I appreciate. I’m a big fan of customization, and this machine lets me tweak my drinks exactly how I like them, especially when it comes to foam!**Maintenance – A Love-Hate Relationship**: Here’s the deal – the Z10 likes to be kept clean, especially if you’re using milk. At first, the frequent cleaning felt like a chore, but I’ve come to appreciate it. It’s all automated, so it’s not a hassle, but you do need to stay on top of it. The catch is the ongoing cost of filters and milk system cleaner, but for me, the quality of the coffee justifies it. The cleaning takes nothing… throw in some cleaner and push a button. The milk system cleaning takes 3 minutes so I usually do it while drinking my coffee. It also rises the system after every drink so I keep a cup under it so I don’t have to empty the drip tray all the time. The frequent cleaning is what keeps the machine running great and the coffee premium so it’s a labor of love… and hardly any labor.**Nice Extras But With A Caveat**: The milk fridge has been a game-changer for my milky coffee drinks, keeping everything conveniently at hand. It’s a separate purchase, but I can’t imagine not having it. Also, the hot water dispenser is perfect for my tea-drinking moments. But here’s a quirk – the machine is quite particular about ingredient levels. If you’re low on beans, water, or milk, it’ll start your drink and then stop midway to tell you to refill, which can be annoying. I’ve learned to check everything before I start brewing to avoid this hiccup.**Final Verdict**: Yes, the price tag made me think twice, and yes, the maintenance can feel a bit much at times. But considering how much I used to spend at Starbucks and how often I use the Z10, I’ve got no regrets. The quality of the coffee, the convenience, and the overall performance make it a worthwhile addition to my daily routine.

Simply the best….we have had Jura coffee makers for several years and just upgraded from a Z8 to the Z10: beautiful machine that is quieter and seems more refined than earlier models…and it does cold brew too. But take note: if you need service on an out of warranty Jura machine, Jura will offer a trade up program to get a newer model: but that newer model will likely be a refurbished machine at a high price: better to buy a new one.

I had this product for one month when the cold brew function stopped working (less than 30 cups of coffee). Upon contacting Jura they stated that the warranty wasn’t being honored because I purchased the unit through Amazon and a preferred seller wasn’t used. When I asked for a list of preferred sellers they couldn’t provide me one. Despite paying $4,000 for this product that lasted less than a month they expected me to pay for the repair and shipping cost both ways. The amazon vendor Luxxe Shoppe also refused to replace the unit so I simply returned it for a full refund. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy a Jura after this experience!!! The coffee is great if you’re willing to spend $4,000 for 30 cups.

You would expect it to make incredible coffee. The coffee itself is fine. However, there’s a few things:1. The J.O.E. App doesn’t work. It’s impossible to get it to work. Just search J.O.E. app and Reddit in Google and you’ll find threads of people frustrated with it, and who say it’s not worth it even if you can connect. You can also look at the developer reviews on the App Store and Google Play.2. There’s no way to set the machine to turn on itself. Maybe this isn’t a big deal for some people but remember this is a $5000 machine. If I’m spending $5000 on a superautomatic machine, I expect to be doing as little automatic things as possible.3. The Milk System connection is fairly bad. This also is a common problem. Apparently you just need to remove the “convex-concave front panel” that is supposedly “visible proof of the attention to detail and absolute manufacturing precision” to tighten a few things. Ridiculous. For this premium of a price tag, you shouldn’t have to do any of these things.
