Jose’s Whole Bean Coffee, 2lb 8 oz/40 oz 100% Certified USDA Organic Mayan Blend 100% Arabica Coffee

Jose’s Organic Mayan coffee tastes amazing. They say it has floral notes. I used to not understand that until I smelled it next to some other high quality coffees. I get it, but the main thing is the aftertaste. The natural flavor profile is stronger and more pungent than a lot of other beans. You can just tell its better than the cup sitting next to it.The beans are medium dark. They’re neither dry or oily looking with just a mild low-lustre sheen on the surface. The color is spot on. Generally, the darker you roast coffee beans, the more they start to taste similar. Aside from the medium dark color, this roast could pass for medium in the sense that the roasting process doesn’t seem to dominate the flavor profile.Unfortunately, the only downside for me is that Mayan beans are known to be more acidic and this one tears up my stomach sometimes. Once cup is OK but any more and I’m in knots. I have GERD though so it might just be me. Since I’m an all day coffee drinker that keeps me from drinking this blend all day long. But even with the risk, I still like to make this stuff my first cup of the day. It tastes so freakin good.Side note: I also sometimes mix Jose’s Mayan like 25% with 75% Organic Sumatran beans (much lower acid). Both coffees are high quality and I can easily taste both flavors in the mix. YUM YUM.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Not too rich flavor at a good price
I generally prefer very rich, black coffee. This tasty roast has a unique, crisp bite to it I enjoy, and seems full of caffeine. The aroma is nice but it is a little weak for my taste. Would probably buy again as a lighter roast to mix in with our regular coffee rotation.

Good Tasting, Good Priced Java!
I had already reviewed this coffee but for some reason, it did not stick. Let’s give it another go:I am not a coffee snob but just like coffee that tastes like coffee and isn’t bitter. I never really detect the flavors that a lot of coffees claim to possess, like fruity, nutty, smokey, etc. They either tastes like coffee that is bitter or smooth. I found “Jose’s Whole Bean Coffee, 2lb 8 oz/40 oz 100% Certified USDA Organic Mayan Blend 100% Arabica Coffee” to be a really good bargain, I mean, 49-cents per ounce? That’s a great price. I make this in my Frieling 23-oz. Steel French Press that I grabbed (elsewhere) for a measly $26. It is smooth without bitterness and find I can use less sugar than with a lot of coffees (always a plus).

Great taste
Love this coffee. Used to but it at Costco, very good price there. It’s higher here that would be my only complaint. I think this is an excellent coffee, bought this one for my sister, she loved it as well.
