Let me start this off by saying Iâm a wimp when it comes to spicy things. I got these as a challenge for my stream. They know I canât handle heat. I, like millions of others, love Jelly Belly jelly beans. So. with mouth watering for tastes such as popcorn, cherry, lemon, banana, pina colada and others I went searching for one of my favorite snacks. However, I cannot just buy any candy; it has to be sugar free. But there have been great strides made in the food industry and many things that are sweetened with artificial sweeteners actually taste as good as the real mccoy! So I looked forward to receiving my little bags of Jelly Belly. And tonite was the night. Supper was over and we were set to sit down to some great British movies or maybe it would be Netflix tonight. And so I carefully cut open my little bag of treats and checked out the flavor that went with each color. And I proceeded to taste first the yellow lemon ones. And I tried another one. And another one. Nothing. So I switched to one of my favorites – popcorn, white. And I popped the first one in my mouth, nothing. Another one, nothing. And so it went. So now, all that time spent looking at prices and comparing the best buys, all for nothing except wasted time and above all things, wasted money. Heck, the manufacturers even took the time to post the various colors and their respective flavors but they forgot one very important thing – flavor. And so not I’m stuck with 11 unopened little bags of sugar tasting little beans and I’m about to cry! Why is it so difficult to make candy taste good. Or maybe I should say, why is it so easy to make false claims about a product. Earlier in the summer I had a similar event happen to me. But that time I was hungry for some good ole chocolate. You know the stuff we all ate as kids! And that too was a big failure. It seems they forgot to put the chocolate favorite in the chocolate colored candy! What is the world coming to? Oh, well, there’s always Krispie Kreme donuts! Well, they haven’t changed have they? Never!
