Beautiful, functional
So happy with this set. Beautiful representation of Japanese craftsmanship. I love the color of this ceramic. It’s subtle and neutral. They look like little artworks displayed on my shelf.And they’re not just beautiful but wonderfully functional as well. This set has upped my matcha game. So nice to learn how to make matcha at home. Very accessible and would recommend.

Good matcha set – interesting that the bowl comes with a spout. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. Otherwise it works great for having friends over for tea ceremonies!

Everything you need!
This set is such a great beginners matcha set that has all the necessary components you could need. The ceramic bowl is the perfect depth and size for whisking, the whisk (after blooming) works quite well to get a good foam and fits snugly on its owner for storage, the chashaku helps to measure the perfect amount of matcha and alongside the strainer allows for the smoothest matcha. All of these components are integral to having a nice foamy matcha and are extremely easy and straightforward to use for a beginner matcha maker! Everything was packaged very well and nothing was damaged.

Okay but Not Perfect
A nice idea, and looks nice, but a couple of problems that stop from rating this higher.Four parts to the set: bowl, bamboo brush, brush holder, sifterBrush HolderElegant looking and the brush fits perfectly on it. But, it has a pretty rough bottom. I would be afraid to place on any delicate surface as there is a potential for scratching if you slid the brush holderBamboo brushSeems like the bristles could have been “cleaned” better. Quite a few of them have “splinters”. It looks nice but a better Q/A on the assembly would have helped. My fear is that when wisking the matcha, one could end up with these detaching.BowlNice, but like the brush holder, the bottom is pretty rough and also rough along the rim.. Finishing was not too good.SifterNo issues. This is quite nice.Pretty picky about something like this, so may not be as noticeable to others. :). An extra step in the finishing would have really helped with the overall quality.

Great Matcha Tea set!
When I opened this up everything looked great. It is a very nice little set and I really like that the bowl and holder are ceramic. The strainer is also very good condition and the set works very well. I would definitely recommend this set if you like drinking matcha and will probably pick up another one as a gift for my brother! Great buy!

Coming back from a trip to Japan with a bunch of matcha I regretted not buying a matcha kit / set. This is perfect and brings my matcha lattes to the next level with the perfect frothiness.The quality is the bamboo and bowls are amazing and the packaging is super attractive and would be a perfect gift for matcha lovers.
