Really Wasn’t Expecting It To Be This GOOD!!!
I was prompted to buy this for the silliest of reasons. I bought a pint of Jeni’s Coffee & Cream ice cream and thought it was really good. Finally, a coffee ice cream that tastes like good coffee. I realized that Intelligentsia was the coffee Jeni’s used, so I went on here and bought a bag out of curiosity. And WOW! It’s right up my alley. This is a light roast that gives the vibes of a Costa Rican coffee. It’s bright. It’s not acidic. It’s full of flavor and nuance, and it made me remember why I love coffee so much in the first place. I’m a fan!!!!

Tasty coffee, depending how you brew it
The flavor is a little bit on the acidic side, tastes like one of those coffeeâs you get from a local barista. Everybody has their favorite type, the acidic flavor just isnât for me. Still, this makes a delicious French press.

Low-Acid, Full-Flavored Coffee: A Win for Sensitive Stomachs
While it’s not explicitly stated on the bag, this coffee is low-acid, making it a godsend for my sensitive stomach. I’ve tried more expensive options like Lifeboost, which specifically markets its coffee as gentle on the gut. While Lifeboost lives up to its claims, it’s quite pricey and lacks the full-bodied flavor I find in Intelligentsia. Although Intelligentsia isn’t cheap either, it offers a richer taste. If you spot it on sale, I’d recommend stocking up. Makes for a very satisfying cup.

Deliciousness & Gumption
Intelligentsia Coffee is a favorite of mine that, for some nonsensical reason, I haven’t purchased in a while. I saw this bag of ground House blend at a good price and bought it as a treat to myself. My modest aim was to make some cold brew for the weekend, but I made a small pour-over, too, and…it was spectacular! The bright fragrance of chocolate and citrus is luxurious and cheerful and the ground beans make a smooth, drinkable coffee that’s lovely black and as a latte. Now I remember why this brand has to go back on my regular orders. Highly recommend if you like a smooth coffee with a kick and a happy fragrance filling your kitchen and cup.

Amazon’s inventory is just not fresh
I absolutely adore this coffee. It’s a great, light flavor. I’ve had it at coffee shops before and was wowed by it, so I came onto Amazon to purchase. The coffee from Amazon just isn’t the same. I received this shipment on 2/25 and the packaging said the item was packaged in Dec 2022 and expired in March 2023. I figured it wasn’t a big deal since it hadn’t expired. But my god the taste is awful. It tastes sour and expired. Worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life. I think I will never get this item from Amazon again. Absolutely delicious if you get a good bag though.

Interesting .
Waited years to try this coveted boujee coffee . Iâm so used to the delicious Pike Place Starbucks roast . This wasnât enjoyable . Itâs very watery tasting . Itâs very light and it has a metallic /vinegary taste . Also herbal. It truly wasnât my favorite . Iâll make it into iced coffee and see how it goes .

Excellent coffee!
The Intelligentsia House Blend coffee is very smooth, no bitterness, and is slightly sweet. For reference, I would put it as comparable to Stumptownâs Holler Mountain, which has a bit more chocolate profile. If you like Holler Mountain, youâll like this! Weâve already ordered another bag and are looking forward to trying the K-cup version as well to see how close it is to the drip brew.
