First time user of the Kcup style of coffee brewer.Iâm the sole coffee drinker in the house and prefer real brew over instant.Was looking for a small 3 or 4 coffee pot brewer to replace my slow slow Mr Coffee maker. I decided to try the single cup styleI researched many models and wasnât impressed with most. Then I found the Solo. Works perfect, brews great, nice having multiple features, and cleans easy, itâs fast and hot. It offered the best countertop space fitting design.

I love that the water tank drains completely, no stale water, no algae! Super easy to fill daily or more, and clean thoroughly every week in seconds. Iâll quickly compare it to the multiple Keurig machines Iâve owned or used.Similar, except hotter coffee, cheaper in price, but Insta feels like a better quality than Keurig, I really like it.My Keurig coffee machines have always been the full size model and hard to clean, non complete emptying has caused algae to appear in the water tank between weekly cleanings for my elderly house cleaning clients. Yuck! Every Keurig Iâve had has stopping working at about year 1, maybe year two but I donât think they last long enough for the price. Iâm the only coffee drinker in my household.In closing, Itâs just three months old but it still works great! Still works like new! Still looks like new! Iâll definitely update this next year if I can remember.

Update: Still a one star
Instant finally sent me a replacement. This one lasted only one week. Same problems — no coffee, loud noises, steaming, just emitting a little hot water. One improvement: no sticky gunk in the carafe. The last one went in the landfill and now it looks like this one will join it. I think there must be a basic design flaw.Bought this in December after a Keurig died an early death. We didn’t even use it much, but it started making a loud wheezing noise, spewing steam and no coffee coming out. The carafe often had the be cleaned from some kind of sticky black gunk — possibly a plastic part disintegrating? After a month I complained to customer service. Had to jump thru a lot of hoops – photos of the machine, serial number, screen grab from Amazon, then they wanted a video. Watched Youtube videos on cleaning, disassembling, etc., and got it working a few more times. Now it is useless. It steams, screams and puts out dirty water but NO COFFEE. Customer service is apparently from a foreign country and they must be paid to be useless.

Great Compact Single Cup Brewer
Iâve been using this brewer for the past 3 months and have had no issues getting consistent quality brews. I am selecting the 10 oz. setting using the included reusable coffee pod accessory. I grind the beans to a med-fine consistency and fill the pod to the top(2 tablespoons). I use reverse osmosis filtered water to eliminate minerals and âcity waterâ taste. There are minimal bean grindings in the finished brew. The retail K-cups render the best flavor at the 8 oz setting with no grounds in the brew. The brewed coffee temp tests at approximately 180 degrees which is way too hot to drink immediately. I brew into an insulated 16 oz. go-cup and the coffee stays at a drinkable temp for an hour or more, dependent upon the ambient air temp and quality of the insulated cup. The brewer works equally well with purchased K-cups or grind your own beans. I have a wonderful local coffee roaster and find purchased whole beans to be much more economical than K-cups, in addition to supporting a local small business. My only recommendation would be to order an extra reusable coffee pod accessory. Mine has been used for approximately 400 brews and it is showing some wear. Overall, I highly recommend this brewer with top results for consistency, brew temp and ease of use.

cracked tank
The coffee pot itself is very nice, love the color and makes tasty coffee. BUT, the water tank has a crack from top edge down, about 1/4 in or so. I contacted their support at their site, I have yet to hear anything.That is the only reason for the 4 star rating.

Brews a perfect cup
I have always had a Keurig Coffee Pot and took a chance on this Instant Solo Singer Serveâ¦..hands down, this is by far the best quick brew. The water is instantly HOT and the Bold Setting makes a fabulous rich cup. I give this a 10 of 10
