Winter weather is not good for indoor herb growing.
Our herbs are not doing well. They germinated, started growing and then we got the polar vortex and they are dying. The kit is beautifully presented, and easy to use if you donât live in Michigan and have extreme weather fluctuations. I gave these to my husband as a Hanukkah gift and he was delighted at the prospect of fresh herbs during the grey winter months. Our inner farmer has taken a hit but that shouldnât dissuade others. We couldnât predict this weather.

Super cute gift
I originally purchased this as a gift but when I received the gift. It was so cute, I decided to keep for myself. When I opened the box, I loved how nicely packed everything was. All of the items were in the box itself which could be used as the base for the garden. Very easy to use. Followed the instructions and was happy to see the Cilantro and Basil growing. Unfortunately the Parsley and Thyme didn’t grow. I must have overwatered because around the base of the tag, it looked like it started to get moldy. I still had some seeds left so I could have scraped the top and tried again but wasn’t sure if the soil would now be considered contaminated. Even so, I cleaned out the other two containers and kept them on the side. May just get seeds from home depot and some soil and try to replant something else when I find the time. Overall a very cute gift and I love that I have a indoor herb garden! I was excited to snip some basil from the garden and add to my pasta sauce for some flavor. Good quality. Would definitely suggest!!

Buy this, great gift too!
10/10 would recommend for someone getting started and lack of garden space. I don’t have too much room but wanted to try my hand at some usable greenery, these give clear instructions and all materials needed to get started. My photos show start point and what the plants look like after about 3 weeks of sitting in my window sill. Parsley and cilantro definitely were the early and steady bloomers for me but the other two are coming around.Super giftable with the cute box it comes in, gift wrap style inside. Good idea for someone tough to buy for, has a green thumb or even a secret gift exchange etc.One tip I realized that isn’t in the instructions, the plants grow towards the sun and need to be rotated so they don’t grow totally in one direction. You can see in mine the first two that grew more quickly I didn’t follow this early on so they’re a bit less stable than the other two sprouts that I’ve been doing this during the past week. Just something I didn’t know starting out that would have been useful info but nonetheless this is a great kit. I may try out the pepper one next!

This product was disappointing. Very cheaply made and some of the herbs never sprouted. Save your money.

Love, Love, Love!
Great product! I was hesitant because some of the reviews but I bought this as a gift with my fingers crossed. It was the right idea. We planted all 4 seed types on 4/21/20 (after allowing seeds to soak 24 hours). By 4/25, the basil was already sprouting. Today is 4/29, and the other 3 plants are starting to sprout as well. It looks like the thyme is the slowest so far…only barely visible towards the edge but these seeds were also the smallest. Iâm really impressed with this product. I will soon need to move them to bigger pots Iâm sure…which is a great thing to be in need of. Totally fun, totally cute! If I can figure out how to attach a photo, Iâll do that.

Very disappointed with this product!
Just terrible—do not waste your money!! I bought 4 plants from Trader Joe’s for 1/2 this price and they are doing great. While the idea of this is cute it does not live up to expectations. Only the cilantro attempted to grow but was not successful. Nothing else came up, soil molded. I have a large vegetable (20×40 ft) and flower garden in the summer and flowers and herbs on the deck. I usually bring my herbs indoors but for some reason did not this year. I think I was wanting it to take up less space so these seemed like a good alternative. As mentioned above, I garden so I don’t believe the poor performance of this product was anything to do on my part. At a minimum, seller should send replacement seeds. I don’t care about the other miscellaneous items in the kit. I will find a better soil and attempt a replant. Otherwise a refund would be appreciated. 1 star for the ‘idea’
