After years of trying to find the perfect espresso machine and going through for several latte makers and Nespresso versions, I decided to try this. So. Glad. I did. It makes delicious espresso shot and I can quickly make some for me and guests. Love it. I can control the water and coffee and it is convenient. So glad I bought this.Note: No this does not make the crema, but the shot is still delicious and good, and I don’t have to make a whole pot. Saves time and money. 🙂

Great electric percolator!
I’ve used stovetop ones for many years and wanted an alternative (think vanlife or for traveling) and this is great! Plus, nice to be able to see the coffee so you know when it’s done. Can barely see the light but that doesn’t matter. The instructions just tell you to click it off once it’s done and if you’ve used a stove top percolater, then you know it’s when you start to hear gurgling.

Best Cuban espresso maker!
After purchasing a few stove top models, I decided to try this. I wasn’t disappointed at all! It isso easy to use and easy to clean. My espresso didn’t have that burnt after taste, like my stove top model often produces. If i get 1 year use from it, i will be happy. I am Puerto Rican and these colors match our flag and the dominoes represent our culture, also. I will buy these as gifts for my family, because I’m so happy with the quality of espresso it makes.

Real espresso maker
OMG, get espresso! Great quality, compact, turns off when you remove the pot. This is only my second day but I have had many very expensive espresso pots. That no longer work. Great price! But this makes it like my Mom used to make. I no longer need expensive coffee PODS. Very happy!!!

This machine only makes 3.5oz; not 3, 1.5oz cups (4.5oz total) they advertise.
I like the convenience of using electric versus stovetop. It’s quicker and easier.I don’t like the misrepresentation of the cup size (I would have purchased the larger size.) Again, it makes 3.5ozs, not 4.5ozs. 1oz may not sound like much, but when you’re only working with 3 or 4ozs, it is.I don’t like the very poorly written instructions and the simple lack of some instructions.For example, they state to use a medium grind, it doesn’t work. It needs to be a fine grind, otherwise the water just quickly rushes through the coffee and you get a very weak tasteless cup. You can’t throttle the heat and therefore the rate of coffee flow like you can on a stove top. Because of this the grind needs to be finer to slow the water flow rate so it has time to extract the flavor.The water level differences they give you for making a 1 cup vs 3 cups makes no sense (a 1/4″ lower water level as they state does not change the cups from 3 to 1cup. Always fill the tank to just below the pressure valve. Same with the coffee, fill it up every time; the “1 cup divider” the say to use will again give you a weak cup of tasteless coffee. One last thing, once the coffee starts to fill the upper chamber, remove it from the electric base. It has enough heat to continue pushing the remaining water up into the upper chamber. Leaving it on longer just overheats the lower boiler for no reason.Other than that I like the machine, and it made a fine cup of cuban style coffee. I just don’t like companies that don’t take the time needed to test run their instructions or make misrepresentations.I hope this helps you overcome the shortfalls of the instructions and gives you a great tasking cup of coffee. BTW, I use Starbucks “House blend” ground to an espresso fine grind.

I love how fast it works, 3-5 minutes tops. But what I don’t like is that the top is made of plastic so you have to be careful not to use the handle to open it. I have cracked mine by doing that. Best advice, let it cool completely and then open it from the base.

===Smaller 1-2 cup review===Reviewing after my first try, will update as time goes on.From the reviews I was already expecting the plastic head part to not be great, but I’m Dominican so I just had a spare moka pot/greca around and replaced the head with a metal one. Couldn’t find any review that mentioned changing the head so I was worried it wouldn’t fit, but it fits perfectly and works just the same.I also read it brews too fast, but after 5-6 mins it came out pretty well, doesn’t taste burnt to me.Another issue I read was that the metal separator that comes with it breaks easily. I just don’t really use or need it. A pod good ð===Update 03/6/24: Yes, it leaks a bit when pouring. I personally don’t care but this might be something you should consider when buying this, even with a different head part.

This portable Maker is perfect for at work. I no longer have to suffer the terrible coffee at work. And no I dont let my workmates use it. At this price they can buy their own LOL
