The lid is not leak/spill proof, as liquid does come out around the sipping hole. This mug is somewhat better than using a plain ceramic mug in keeping drinks warm, but it certainly doesn’t keep bevvies hot for hours. Overall a disappointment in function. Pleased with the look.

I am a bit disappointed actually. The lid is not sturdy, if the cup falls, it will spill for sure. The picture also shows the cup filled to the brim, well you will not be able to drink from it with the top on for sure. It has to have at least an inch empty from the top of the cup to be able to drink with the top on. my two bits!I don’t think I would, actually I am sure I wouldn’t buy it again…sorry nice cup!

Not spill proof but still a great cup
Is it leak proof? No. Does it allow you to drink tea without a toddler sticking their hand in hot tea, yes mostly. It keeps your tea warm and has allowed me to set my tea down for a minute without worrying too much about hot spills. If tipped over, it does leak, but I mostly got it for sipping on the couch and it does a good job keeping my tea warm. Easy to hold, great size for sipping on tea.

More like leak resistant, so be carefull.
I think this is a really good mug, worth the purchase, I like the way it looks and feels, and I need the extra large coffee in the morning. The mug itself does measure at 16 oz when filled to rim without lid. Since lid fits down into mug, the usable volume is reduced slightly. This mugs lid is interestingly innovative, and looks good, but does NOT seal completely to prevent leaks, and interferes with sipping through it because the cover does not slide far enough out of the way. So, don’t overfill, and if you require leakproof, keep looking. The lid also is somewhat difficult to clean because disassembly is a little tricky. While it may not keep coffee piping hot for many hours, coffee stays at least warm for a couple hours. Good enough for me. Worth the purchase to me.

Love this mug!
These are the perfect mugs. Theyâll keep your coffee or tea hot for hours and they have a very nicely shaped, comfortable handle. The lid is just right for sipping and they have a nice texture to them so they feel good to hold in your hands. They also have so many nice colors! Iâve ordered several for friends and family and every color Iâve gotten is really nice. IF you want a mug to fit in your car cup holder, this isnât it, but theyâre perfect for everything else. Theyâre very well made and a great value for the price!

My Favorite Coffee Travel Mug
This insulated coffee mug is my favorite one. It keeps coffee hot for hours and the lid prevents spills making it quite functional. The16 oz size is perfect for a nice large drink. It’s durable and lightweight.
