Magic rice dispenser
This thing works like a champ. It holds the whole 15lb bag of rice I tend to get, with much space to spare.The lid could be a bit more secure, kinda just rests on top. It does the job, and is something that is easily fixed with a simple weight. Still, I’d prefer a latch.The measuring bit is consistent and reliable. Just push the lever down and wait till sound of rice dumping is done, then raise and use the rice (or lower and raise a few more times as needed).If you use rice daily, this is totally the way to go.

Finally got my rice dispenser !!
Growing up, my family ate A LOT of rice!! Our rice cooker was in use EVERYDAY!! I always marveled at my momâs rice dispenser all those years agoâ¦.it was nothing fancy, just a push down button/lever that dispensed a perfect cup at a time. Now, I finally have one of my own, same concept as the one she hadâ¦.a PERFECT âriceâ cup each time you slide down the lever. The tradition has passed down to my daughters and they measure, wash and cook the rice now. Itâs just so convenient to have something that holds our big bags of rice plus, no little measuring cup to have to hassle with. Just oust the lever down for however many cups of rice you are cooking! Definitely worth every penny!!

Great dispenser. Saves us time (prior to this we used to open and close the rice bag for every turn) as we just push the button up and down to get a cup of rice. No spills, no wastage !!!! The dispenser is less than 2 feet in height, so it fits perfectly into our kitchen cabinet adding great ease and comfort of use. The instructions that came in package is entirely Japanese or Korean. So I found it difficult at start but thesteps are numbered with pictures and parts are easy to put together in less than 5 minutes. Take a look at this video for a short demo

The first dispenser came in a battered box and it certainly appeared to have been returned. So, I asked for a replacement which came promptly. This one was new but after assembling it, it simply didn’t work. I even asked my son and son-in-law to try their hands at putting it together. Everything written on the box is in Japanese so my son took a picture of the instructions and he was able to get an English translation but that didn’t help. So I am returning this rice dispenser and not bothering to get a replacement. And by the way, although the whole box is covered with Japanese writing, there’s a tiny sticker on the bottom corner of the box which says “Made in China”. So, I’m going to look locally and make sure that the rice dispenser I buy is made in Japan – that’s what I thought I was getting when I ordered this one!

No more bags of rice in my pantry
I love this container. I buy my favorite rice in 20 lb bags. This dispenser holds the whole bag so, there are no more partial bags of rice spilling in my pantry. I also like that it is dispensed without hands and scoops dipping into it. The rice at the end of the 20 lb bag is as clean as the beginning of the bag. With teenagers, who are learning to cook, making rice in my kitchen, I could not have sworn to that before. It also fits perfectly on a pantry shelf.

We eat a lot of rice, and I mean a lot! Having this on the counter makes it easy for anyone to start on the rice for the day’s meal. We haven’t quite figured out how much rice comes out at a time. Not a cup of rice yet. Mostly between 1/2 or 2/3 of a cup. Bit of a learning curve, might be easier if there was some English instruction for our dense family, but otherwise. We love it.

It accurately dispenses rice. Press once firmly and wait for the rice to completely flow into the dispensing tray. That way, you get a good full cup of rice.
