Inside you’ll also find the primary and secondary fermenters, auto-siphon and tubing, along with a hydrometer, thermometer, and Easy Clean to maintain the cleanliness of your equipment. All the essential chemicals are included; campden tablets, malic acid, tartaric acid, tannin, yeast energizer and yeast. The only item not included in this kit is the honey; try something local for a fresh, sweet mead! Primary Fermenter

The first and most important part of the Home Brew Ohio Mead Making Kit is a Home Brew Ohio plastic Primary Fermenter. This 2 gallon bucket is the perfect vessel to house your mead during the initial fermenting process. The bucket comes with a drilled and grommeted lid that fits the included airlock perfectly.

Secondary Fermenter

The included high quality glass Secondary Fermenter is essential to the aging process of the mead. After initial fermentation, you’ll add your mead to this one gallon jug to age and clarify.

All The Chemicals You’ll Need!

Wine Tannin

Made from Chestnut Wood, this Wine Tannin adds taste and texture while helping with the clarification.

Chemicals

You’ll receive four basic chemicals in your kit; Campden Tablets, Tartaric Acid, Malic Acid and Yeast Energizer. All of these are essential to crafting a perfect mead.

Yeast

You’ll also receive a sachet of Premier Blanc Active Dry Yeast. This is the main ingredient (besides your honey!) in creating mead.

#6 Drilled Rubber Stopper

An exact fit for your Secondary Fermenter, which will hold your Airlock in place.

This extremely easy to use Mini-Auto Siphon comes with 4ft of tubing to ease the transferring process!

Dual Scale Thermometer

This Dual Scale Thermometer is the perfect tool to make sure your mead stays at a consistent temperature. It’s an adhesive strip that easily attaches to your fermenters.
