I love these cups!
These have held up well and my kitchen, and I actually really love the look of them! Something that you should be aware of is that theyâre thinner and they may break if dropped from a certain height. Otherwise than that, theyâre a great size and a great budget cup.

Material is only slightly better than disposable plastic glasses
These acrylic glasses are made of a very thin plastic, the kind that breaks very easily. They are barely a step up from disposable plastic. They arrived stacked together in the box and it was extremely difficult to get them together without breaking them. I am afraid to store them stacked because they are so hard to get apart. We have other acrylic glasses that are much thicker and more durable than these. I really canât recommend these glasses, I do not think they will last long.

I really would give these a 3.5 star rating. They function and are a decent size, but honestly they are thin and won’t hold up for long term use. If you hand wash they will last longer, but if you put these in the dishwasher (I don’t have one), I am betting they would melt if you have your water on too high of a setting. If you need something to get you by these will definately work and they are a very flattering design, but if you are looking for a new set to keep as a permanent set in your kitchen I would keep looking.Hereâs my rating scale for products:1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can’t find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed.4 Stars: Recommend purchase. Great for Casual Use
Every decade or so, I go through all the drinking vessels in the cupboard next to our fridge with an eye toward getting rid of some of what we’ve accumulated at that point. Now’s the time, so what better time to spot this set of 14-ounce glasses – especially since I found matching 18-ounce glasses and ordered them as well. I admit to being a little worried when it took awhile to pry a couple of them apart (even though there’s packing material in between each in the stack of four), but a little gentle tapping and pop apart they did. The plastic is sturdy enough to look and even feel a little like glass and they’re dishwasher safe, so they should be good to go for a while in the cupboard (well, minus the one my husband snagged to replace the water glass he keeps next to his recliner for daily hydration refills). He likes them, too.

Functional, slightly flimsy but useful cups
I want to like these glasses more but they are not as sturdy as I would like. I found that they felt a bit flimsier than I was comfortable. It is not that they are not good enough for the intended use, but I was not expecting them to flex even a little when squeezed, and they do flex a bit. Other than that, while they have survived a few drops, I get the impression that they are not shatter proof. Perhaps the flex is useful for absorbing impact pressure, and so makes them more durable then they feel.The cups also appear to scratch pretty easily, especially on the bottom, which is not ribbed. This implies that with regular use, they will become more and more cloudy, and will have to be recycled if the appearance of them is important.Other than that, they function well as beverage containers, for either hot or cold liquids. They also stack which is pretty useful for conserving cabinet space.

Not worth it
These Hioasis 4 piece clear plastic cup set is grossly overpriced for what you get. I really could not find any redeeming qualities that would make these plastic cups worth $2 each. Further, they are advertised as BPA free but yet there is no documentation or certification that that is actually the case. Arguably, this means the product is in violation of California’s Proposition 65 so big YMMV if that is actually the case with these glasses. The way the cups are packaged leaves a lot to be desired. They are individually wrapped in loose plastic and then recessed together so you have 4 friction-lock puzzles you have to solve. Fortunately, I successfully solved mine without breaking them unlike some other reviewers. My final thoughts are that these are definitely worse quality than any sort of dollar-type store cup that you could purchase yet at least 2-3 times the price. For the aforementioned safety reasons we are going to dispose of them in lieu of donating them. 1/5 stars as a result.
