Works very well
There is nothing better than a hot latte and this machine produces a very good one. The milk steamer is easy to use and you can get the temperature just the way you like it. The espresso smells and tastes great. It wasn’t too hard to learn how to use this and the directions are helpful. Cleaning up after is simple and doesn’t require too much effort. It’s a money saver compared to coffee shops so it will pay for itself in the long run. I am very happy that I chose this brand.

makes great espresso. you control the temp, the pre-infusion, the shot volume, and the pressure (via ground size and tamping). Has a nice solid, heavy, 58 mm portafilter. works perfectly! amazing price.

Great so far.
This is a very well designed machine. So far, itâs working great and makes a very tasty cup of espresso or latte, although, it could be hotter. My only complaint so far, is I have followed the instructions to the letter and I canât switch it from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Iâm just having to get used to it!I got the machine on January 8th, so itâs early days. I spent three days on YouTube videos before I used it to make sure I did everything correctly. My last machine, that I adored only lasted 6 months, so we shall see.

It is a good machine
Item arrived much ahead of the estimated time. It is very nicely packaged. All that to my pleasant surprise. So far I am content with this machine. It has lots of options to adjust to my liking – single/double cup espresso volumes, water and steam temperatures, infusion time. I like a lot it is very easy to see the level of water and it is very easy to refill the reservoir. Nice, heavy duty tapper, exactly what you need to tap hard on the coffee in the basket. The pressure gauge for me was a must – if you want to work with the single-walled coffee strainers and customize your espresso to perfection, you need to make sure of several things, and achieving high pressure is an important one.

Blown away.
Iâve been using manual espresso machines for a couple of years now. Iâve really enjoyed the process and ritual required to make good espresso with a manual lever, but have started wanting some convenience. Wanted something smaller in size but with all the features required to really dial in from bean to bean. The HiBrew looked to fit the bill. Iâve been pulling shots and making lattes with it for about a week and I can say that Iâm blown away by the performance for the price of this machine. I have pulled shots with my DF64 grinder costing double the price of the hibrew and also with my timemore hand grinder and the hibrew handled both and produced excellent flavor and crema every time. The PID control is a game changer. I can eliminate sourness, I can bring out more fruitiness, more roastiness, etc. the stock portafilter works great but as a manual machine enthusiast I wanted to be able to see my shot so i found a bottomless handle on amazon and that is working fantastic as well. The only slight issue is the 3 ear design of the group head and portafilter isnât very standard and is going to make some accessories not work right. The portafilter cradle on my DF64 canât hold the hibrew because the ears are in weird places. If the hibrew gains some popularity I think more accessories will become available or at least some 3d printed options. I think it would be a shame if the hibrew didnât become popular because it really is such a great value.
