Perfect for Keeping Herbs Fresh and Smell-Proof!
Iâm extremely impressed with the Herb Container – Half Oz Smell Proof Jar! This jar has exceeded my expectations in every way. The airtight seal is excellent, ensuring that my herbs stay fresh and free from any moisture or air exposure. The UV protection is a fantastic bonus, preventing any light from degrading the quality of my herbs. The included humidity pack is a game-changerâit keeps everything at the perfect moisture level, so my herbs stay as fresh as when I first stored them. Iâve also been amazed by the jarâs smell-proof capabilities; thereâs absolutely no odor leakage, which is essential for keeping things discreet. The size (250 ml) is perfect for my needs, and itâs compact enough to store easily. The quality of the jar itself feels premium and durable, which gives me confidence that it will last for a long time.Overall, this jar has done everything it promises and more. If youâre looking for a reliable, high-quality container to keep your herbs fresh and odor-free, I highly recommend this one!

250 ml jar other uses
OK, first, they are NOT unbreakable! I dropped mine on concrete. Half a dozen large pieces, and a quick broom and dustpan cleaned it up. NO damage to any of the contents, which is what this review is about.I have been using this 250 ml jar since 2018. Using 2″ sticky cork, I lined the inside (for quiet comfort) and a square in the bottom, but not one inside the cap, and use it as my Masterdam grinder (5 piece) container. It is a perfect fit. Not tight, the cork only keeps it quiet inside. Grind my herb. Leave unused portions in the grinder for later, and store the grinder in the “smell proof” jar. I have a larger, 3 5/8″ diameter X 2 3/4″ high (roughly) which I use to store multiple small bags of herb, a pipe, and a lighter. These two jars make my travel pack.Mine broke, duh. I simply LOVE these jars and I am here, the same day I dropped it, to get an immediate, identical, replacement. Thanks to Amazon, being able to do this, is soooo easy.Review… Excellent quality glass (and yes, if you try, you can see light through them. Won’t work with standard house bulbs, try using the sun, carefully please) and they are smell proof (I have not checked whether a dog can smell the herb, but I know I can not.) HG includes a couple extra items. I use the “humidity pack”. Room for this in the bottom of the jars, even under my grinder. These jars are awesome, well designed, look great, and not one problem with using them.

Got more than I paid for – And couldn’t be happier!
I’ve just been using small tupperware containers for the past few years to store my herbs. They tend to lose 90% of their smell after about a week which is very frustrating. After putting some month old herbs in this container, I checked them the next day and, to my surprise, about 20% of the pungency was back!I’ve heard that plastic containers absorb some of the odors of what you store in them compared to glass containers (which are less permeable) but I never thought it was that big of a deal until now. These jars will change the way you store precious herbs for the better. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back!Shipping was very fast and I really appreciate all the extra goodies. The cleaning cloth is easily one of the highest quality ones I’ve ever received. Not just to meet the minimum requirements but to actually provide a quality product. And the smell proof baggie was another pleasant surprise since I was considering buying some but wanted to try one out first (Herb Guard – 25 Premium Smell Proof Bags (4 x 6 inches) Airtight Seal Keeps Herbs Fresh for Months).

Great for freshness and keeping scent in
My previous go to brand is no longer available, but these seem to be identical. Work great and the Boveda is a nice touch

Much nicer then expected…
I want to keep my herbs nice and fresh and bought this after some research. Clear glass would let light in, and plastic tupperware could potentially cause an odor to eventually mix into my herb during storage. This is incredibly designed yet pretty simple…Basically there are two parts, lower and an upper. Ill start with the lower first…Nice thick glass. Looks black but under certain light appears to be a rich deep dark blue, sort of like one of those Vicks vapor rubs but even darker which is pretty neat. But usually always looks black, but a piano gloss style black which is pretty sleek. With my calipers it reads approx:. 4.45mm thickness which is nice and thick. The threading on the glass is nice and even. Although the lower part is pretty thick, you still want to treat this carefully, as it could still easily shatter, but hey, thats pretty much the nature of glass/ceramic when dropped, eh? But the container is a nice looking piece that when storing, actually just looks like home decor. Now for the top. Ive been reading reviews about people being disappointed because the top is “plastic”. First off, it seem more like a polymer, as plastic can easily crack under pressure, but polymer has a little elasticity to it. Plus, polymer is also more odorless then general plastic.Heres the thing I don’t think a lot of those reviewers understand… If a more expensive top was used, it would actually not work as well sealing out air.Example. A glass or ceramic top, the gap between the threading would always have a funnel to let air in, and if you try to tighten it to much, can crack/damage the top or bottom, or both. If a metal top was used, metal = potential foreign odor and can be prone to the metal reacting and making your herb a bit sour or bitter in time while being stored. Plus metal would not create a true air tight seal, unless you were canning, but the heat would destroy your herb inside I would imagine. However, the top being polymer as I stated has a slight elasticity to it. Basically meaning, when tightening the lid on the lower jar, the threads on the polymer top will ever so gently “mould” into any gaps with in the glass/ceramic threading on the lower part. Thus insuring a much better seal for keeping out unwanted air. There is a small sponge like piece inside just under the top which helps with any odor control as well leaking outside.I personally got two of these in half oz, as so I can keep an ounce and split them so less air then one big ounce container which in time as herb being used creating a bigger air pocket. The Bodeva humidity pack that came with this is very simple, just open from clear plastic packaging seal, drop in and its done and working. Just try and keep from opening your HG jar until you need to, and still keep open at a minimum to keep the humidity right and no air getting in. Pretty much just “plug’n’play”. Although I really no need for a scoop, it was really cool that it came with one, and a pretty nice one at that. Hey, Id rather be sent a scoop I don’t need, then not be sent one but NEED one…No photos, but love my HG jars so much, slapped a Blue Ãyster Cult fishhook cross sticker on one and a Led Zeppelin falling angel sticker on the other so I can keep track of which is which, and, just amping up the coolness. No question about it, I WILL buy more of these, most likely in 1/2 oz size for the better air and humidity control. Looks like time for Montrose and Black Sabbath stickers for others, huh?One last thing, these are packaged beautifully. Each one is in its own box, and then bubble wrapped and sealed as to keep from being damaged in any way what so ever when being shipped.I LOVE these things, and I am happy I chosen HG over other competition which Im sure are good as well, but just something really extra nice about HG, I guess its them tossing in a proper 62 rh Bodeva pack, scoop and a small herb pouch. All i know is I LOVe mine and WILL be getting more…

I’ve had the ounce one for years and recently just got this half oz one. They keep my herbs fresh and tasty for months depending on where they are stored. This one is much easier than the full oz one to reach your hands in and grab some which I like. The lids fit perfectly and are never a hassle. No smell coming from them. They can be a little pricey compared to other jars but worth every penny to me!
