Great quality, weak for my taste
Paris blend. Everything about this tea is quality from the tea itself to the tin, presentation etc. it smells and tastes delicious. With that said it’s a bit on the weak side for me. I should’ve known, says exactly what it is on the tin, but I was paying too much attention to flavor types and descriptions. I’m still happy with my purchase simply for the experience and best tea tin I’ve ever seen. I won’t rate it under 5 stars because my issue with it is a personal taste issue, it isn’t my cup of tea so to speak 😅. I would still suggest anyone that’s thinking about it to try it, never know til you do.

    Nice!!
Smells great! Seems like a good quality leaf with a great smoky flavor. It’s a small amount for the cost but quality.

    Absolutely Amazing Tea!
This black currant tea is absolutely amazing. In my childhood, we never used tea bags only loose leaf tea. There is a unique quality to loose leaf and this tea embodies the true essence of excellent tea. No sweetener is required for this high quality blend. If you love tea you want to try this one.

    Flavor is strong and delicious!
I gave only 4 stars because it has a lot of fine particles in it so I have to strain it every time. I finally ordered tea bags to see if that will help. But it’s not worth the price to me if I have to buy extra stuff just to be able to use it. Though I do believe it is the best chocolate flavor tea I have ever tasted.

This is the tea that converted me to loose leaf brewing
I confess that I came to loose leaf brewing some years ago because of an episode of NCIS-LA. I decided to give it a whirl and was AMAZED. Tea brewed this way was a far superior beverage. And I quickly settled on Harney & Sons English Breakfast Tea as “my” tea.Brewed in a pot I find this tea to be clear and and have a pleasant in flavor that has been quite consistent through the years. I warm the pot first and use BOILING water to brew the tea. It can’t be too hot. I like to steep mine for 5 minutes if I’m having it straight. If I’m adding cream (Hello Keto fans!) I steep it for 7 to 10 minutes to bring out more flavor. If you’re new to steeping loose leaf tea then plan on experimenting a bit. Always use boiling water for BLACK teas like this one but the amount of tea and how long it steeps can and should be experimented with whenever you change teas. I’ve also found a good tea pot and an electric water kettle to be good investments. I use filtered water where I live now and that improves the flavor but that depends on your locality. Personally I’ve come to enjoy the ritual of making tea in the morning as much as the tea afterwards. Your mileage may vary.Contrary to what some have said I find it does develop quite strong flavors if left steeping too long so I use a timer. In my experience this is true for all black teas. Also, if you’re making a pot, I’ve found that by setting the pot on a folded dish towel and draping another over it keeps the tea hot enough for me to enjoy the second mug. Or they sell something called a “tea cozy” if you want to get fancy. This tea is well worth trying on it’s own and another reviewer was right about the lovely smell. Also the 8 ounce tea tins this tea comes in are just the right size. I saved a couple and then started ordering in the 1lb bag which I decant into my tins.

Scottish breakfast teas are typically described as having a malty flavour. The best ones, in my opinion, also have just a hint of smoke (Taylors of Harrogate is my favourite). This tea tastes like brown water.2/5: One star for the low price, another for the nice tin. Zero stars for zero flavour.

Love this tea! I use less than recommended. It’s sweet enough so no sugar needed.
