This little grinder is perfect for travel. Its sturdy stainless steel body is small and perfect to pack away. The handle can be detached and stored on the silicone band to make it even more compact. It features a quick adjustment screw for manipulating grind size on the fly. Most of our manual coffee grinders use burrs made of ceramic – conical ceramic burrs transfer less heat and shave coffee beans versus cracking them like blade grinders. This process also provides a more consistent grind that can easily be adjusted and set for repeat use.

    It’s a classic
Excellent compact adjustable grinder suitable for home, office, travel, camping. Probably not suitable for space travel but that hasn’t been a problem. I kept one in my office for 20 years – loved it. Still do. I gave them to both daughters. They love them too. It’s very satisfying and fun. The current model is better than my old one – better handle holder and easily washable innards.

For buyers who prefer to make one-time purchases
Item arrived, despite Amazon saying otherwise. The seller’s price is lower than buying directly. Despite this, authentically a Japanese product and likely the only pour-over dripper you’ll need to buy. The handle is durable and strongly attached to the dripper. The rubber is also thick, and non-slip. The dripper is spiraled for better flow/aeration.One can use Hario paper filters or metal ones. As many are designed for this particular dripper. I recommend a metal filter and as long as you descale it, it can be used as many times as desired. However my recommendations is either plastic (on a budget) or stainless steel, as ceramic will inevitably break with an accidental drop or knocking over.

Store Your Hario Coffee Kit Neatly
I don’t, myself, drink coffee; I just never developed that taste. But, I realize that most people do want a cup or two in the morning. So, when I host overnight guests, I like to be able to provide a good cup of coffee. It doesn’t have to be some sort of coffee epiphany experience, but I want it to be, as coffee goes, good. In researching this, I learned that the Hario V60 has an almost-cult following. Many coffee experts say, “If you have only one, make it a V60.” And when I found out that the V60 dripped funnel cost about eight bucks, well sold. I was delighted that the matching glass carafe is only about twenty-five bucks. I even let myself buy the fancy matching kettle. The whole setup costs about sixty-five bucks. (I already have an excellent scale in my kitchen.) When expecting guests, I buy freshly-ground “gourmet” beans from a local specialty shop. And I’m told that I make two cups of truly good coffee. Mission accomplished. But I don’t use this setup every day, five to maybe fifteen times per-year. So I was delighted to find this nice, fitted, padded bag that keeps my Hario Kit clean, collected, and protected between uses. In very Japanese style, everything fits perfectly in its place. Some people have complained that their Hario case arrive smelling strongly and chemically. Mine arrived odor-free.The partitions are velcroed in, you’re bet to sort of set it up yourself. Mine is “wrinkly” from having been shipped flat. The padding isn’t very thick. I have the glass carafe. If this bag took a significant hit, I’m sure ir could be broken. But my use is just in household storage. It’s plenty adequate for that. If you really want to travel with this setup, I’d advise getting a metal carafe. This thing does its job for me keeping my Hario coffee kit clean, collected, and protected when not in use.

    Sturdy V60
Wonderful for travel and outdoor use. If you are familiar with.the V60 there won’t be any surprises here. no preheating necessary. I think it makes a sweeter cup than the resin models.

Easy to use and makes a great cup
Held off on buying a v60 dripper for a while but my old ceramic random brand started falling apart. I see online v60 recommended but also has a learning curve. I don’t think so, my wife made the best cup of coffee I ever had the first go. I don’t even use the v60 filters, just some ones we had, scrunched on one side. works perfectly.

Great design for thermos carafes… but not a 4c dripper
The design on this is great and it’s one of the only pour over coffee drippers that fits my mom’s thermos-brand carafe. However, the listing advertises this as “1-4 cups.” This dripper only fits a 2c filter, not a 4c filter. Although one could perhaps make four cups of coffee with a 2c dripper by continuously pouring over, I think it is reasonable to assume that the listings’ description of “1-4 cups” implies that the dripper fits a 4c filter.

    my favorite v60
I’ve used them all – plastic, ceramic, glass, metal.I like the metal one the best. The coffee isn’t any better, I just like how it looks and feels. It’s probably somewhere in the middle in terms of thermal management (ceramic soaks up heat, plastic just ignores it), the normal filter rinse is generally enough of a preheat for me.

Great for grinding coffee in my van camper
This grinder is so easy to use and keeps clean. It’s also very compact and gives a great grind. It’s funny that I don’t grind coffee in my house, but I do when I camp in my van. The hand grinding action is part of the ritual and makes me feel more a part of the cup of coffee I make.
