The set is great, the whisk not so much.
I have been enjoying this matcha tea set. The bowl with handle is the best thing about this set. The panda is slippery but works, the scooper is cute, and the sieve is useful. The whisk doesn’t really work well. The center prongs don’t open up but are stuck together, so all the prongs are not utilized. The whisk does not mix the matcha tea well and there are lots of grainy bits left after whisking. I suspect this whisk is made in China because it looked like a shiny varnish was put on it. I don’t want varnish in my tea, so I bought a made in Japan match whisk from Etsy, the cente prongs opened up and there was no varnish nor oil, just bamboo. The made in Japan whisk worked so much better, and now I can finally enjoy a good cup of matcha tea. Would I buy this set again even with the poorly made whisk? Yes, because of the quality bowl with handle. Almost all matcha sets sold on Amazon has made in China whisk. The made in Japan whisk alone cost me $38, but it was worth it.

Matcha Gotcha!
With so many products on Amazon, truly an endless marketplace of dozens if not hundreds of options for products that seem so similar. In looking into a matcha set there were a lot out there as well but the Happy Path set stood out to me. This set was aesthetically pleasing in design of the bowl with handle (my hands canât handle near boiling water and trying to pour that into another cup) as well as functional with a complete set with sifter and whisk and whisk holder!I havenât made matcha on my own before so I wanted to make sure I was doing it right and having a complete set was important for me. The quality is great and sturdy and has been a great kit to use!With recent stories in the news about products with lead, I also loved that the kit has undergone testing in the US to be lead and cadmium free! Makes me feel much safer knowing itâs been tested and certified!
