This is the first coffee grinder I have ever bought and it was very easy for me to use and get the result I wanted! It’s not super loud, grinds up whole coffee beans with ease and the removable chamber makes it easier to clean. I do wish the cord was a little bit longer but I’m very happy with this coffee grinder.

Grinding the beans right before making fresh coffee is the best! This does a great job, and I love that it comes apart and can go in the dishwasher!

Dont overuse beans
Fast, quiet and small. Many will say you need to grind two full container batches of beans for 12-cups when the manufacturer recommends one batch. I tested, and ONE batch works for me perfectly.More ramblings: Apparently I like a lighter brew, which I think is closer to Dunkin or our local Wawa stores. I struggled with the math of how many beans to use to make a 12 cup pot. it gets tricky as the carafe measures in 6ozs, most use 8 ozs for measuring what a coffee cup us when reality is we all use 11 or 15 oz cups. Then some online guidelines use grams and weight, or tablespoons when I have a nice 1/4 cup measuring spoon. I simply wanted a repeated process “to make full pot of coffee how many beans do I grind?” After invoking the soul of Einstein I found that it takes a LOT of coffee to make that full pot based on many online suggestions, effectively two full grind containers. you’ll see many reviews here further confirming that “Have to grind twice”. I’ll say I am using very basic Green Mountain Breakfast Blend beans, same we used in K-cups. And the double batch recipe created a coffee that was black as the darkest night. Darker than anything I had seen in any cafe all over the US. Looked like used motor oil, and tasted VERY strong. Hmmmm. So I’ll say that I did this test even tho this grinder’s cup has bean fill level markings which clearly indicated 12 cups… as being one batch of grindign, not two.I also realized my wife and I were drinking weaker coffee anyway with the K-cups. Its the same single k-cup and we are using a 15oz mug, which would be 1/2 the amount of regular grinds. The purist would say my 15oz cup requires TWO k-cups. But again with the beans I tried the recommendations of all the roasters and coffee shops… and I got motor oil looking coffee. So finally I brewed a new pot. 12 cup full pot and used ONE grind from this grinder. And the coffee was great. I dont even need a measuring spoon… just pour into the grinder cup close to the top. Done.Just like in craft beers there are people who appreciate a high ABV dark stout beer. Me? I am a light lager guy. I am sure there are people who buy beans from all over the world and like a dark dark brew. Me? I’m a light “morning convenience store” coffee drinkerBut then I wonder if this (mis)information of using so much coffee beans is put out by the industry to convince the consumer into spending so much more coffee than what the average drinker is used tu?Long story short to save you the research and math. The experts and the math says for a standard 12-cup pot you need to run TWO full grind containers. The manufacturer says one. Try both and see what you like.Plus my plan of just one.. 1/2 the cost of beans

I beat this little guy up, filling it to the brim and grinding 15 seconds for a fine grind, then I turn it upside down and smack the side a couple of times with the heel of my hand before taking off the cup and knocking the coffee into the filter. About 2 years in, the tab broke loose, but I used package tape to stick it on and it still works, pushes the ON button just fine. And the motor is just as good as the first day. Grinds smooth, doesn’t get hot. Frankly I can’t believe it’s still working so well. When it finally dies I’ll definitely get the same.

La probé con el comino negro, y a pesar de que si lo molió, no lo dejó como polvo.

After three years of use, I’m finally writing a review. This is a very simple coffee grinder. It spins at one speed setting, so if you want a course grind, then don’t grind longer than 15 seconds. The longer you grind, the finer it gets. There are two removable parts: 1) the cap/cup (top), and 2) the cup/blade (bottom). This makes cleaning very easy. Here’s how you use the grinder. 1) Plug in the electrical cord. 2) Fill the cup/blade with coffee beans. 3) Place the cap/cup onto the cup/blade. 4) Press the button for at least 15 seconds. 5) Unplug machine by gripping the plug. 6) Turn machine upside down so the coffee grinds fall into the cap/cup. 7) Remove the machine from the cap/cup. 8) Pour out grinds from cap/cup.I go through these steps because of some of the reviews. Some people say that they make a mess when they remove the cup/blade. I understand why. The cup/blade has fill lines. This implies that the cup/blade is intended to be removed during operations to remove the finished grinds. But no, do not remove the cup/blade with grinds in the cup/blade. Turn the machine upside down so that the grinds fall into the cap/cup. This is because the cap/cup removes easily, and the cup/blade does not remove easily. You will make a mess struggling with the cup/blade while it is full of grinds.Another review said the cord get damaged at the base when unplugging. This is an example of the need for detailed instructions. What is obvious to some is not always so. When you unplug, grip the plug and pull. Do not only hold the machine and yank the cord out of the electrical outlet. You will damage the connection between the cord and the machine. This coffee grinder is very simple, with a good design, well built and reasonably priced. Qualities that you want in any tool.
