What a great Mill for coffee!
I couldnât be happier. This was my third attempt at getting an inexpensive coffee grinder. Two others went back, this one is not only a keeper, Itâs exceeded my expectations by far, and at a surprisingly low price.
It has a deep well in which to put beans, almost 3 times the size of any other compact grinder, all three of which I sent back because they could barely grind enough for 3 cups. This one can easily grind for up to 14 cups at once.
There are 5 settings from fine all the way to course grinding. Then you select the amount of beans youâre grinding. And itâs all automatic from there, one button and watch it work. It automatically turns off when itâs done.
The Coarse to medium to fine actually sets the speed of the grinder, and the number of cups you select automatically sets a timer.
If that seems impossibly simple, Iâm telling you it works incredibly well. Iâve already tried varying amounts of beans and settings from course to fine, and the thing performs flawlessly, gave me exactly what I wanted. It really blew my mind.
Itâs also the first kitchen appliance where the claim of âhidden cord is âis actually true. Itâs super clever, the base easily pops straight down one inch and you wind the cord around the inside, then close the base and the thing is all tidy. The cord is truly out of sight. The ability to clean is excellent, the grinding chamber comes out with a twist and a lift, and can be cleaned with soapy water. It can also be used for spices, although I havenât tried it, but with the multitude of settings Iâm sure itâs excellent. This oneâs a winner.

Worked as expected
This is my second one of these and they both work great. I especially like that you just push the button and it stops grinding automatically based on your courseness setting. They clean real easily. I have never had any problem with either one. The first one has lasted years and still works as well as it did the first day.

Excellent coffee grinder
I bought this to replace a Hamilton Beach grinder that died after 7 years of daily use. This model has been redesigned slightly since I got the prior one. It works great, is easy to clean, and is even surprisingly quiet. We brew a 12-cup pot of coffee, and this grinder can handle up to 14 cups. I know that a blade grinder is inferior to a burr grinder in theory, but TBH I’ve not noticed any difference whatsoever in the quality of my cup of coffee between the expensive burr grinder I once had and this simple, reasonably-priced blade grinder.

Great Coffee Grinder for Coffee Lovers
The Hamilton Beach electric coffee grinder is fantastic. It grinds beans quickly and evenly, allowing me to enjoy fresh coffee in minutes. Stopped working in under a year.
This was a decent grinder until this week, when the sensor that indicates the lid is locked in apparently broke. Now it stops grinding unless youâre holding the button down, which means it also wonât grind the beans to a specific coarseness.

Best purchase Iâve made! Grinder is quiet, quick, durable, and I donât need to hold the button as it grinds. My coffee even tastes better! My old grinder was a Hamilton Beach which I loved. Naturally after years of use the top cracked. Iâm so glad I stuck with Hamilton Beach. This model has a thick, durable cap and the quality is superior. Excellent value for the money. Sleek gorgeous design in grey. Iâm guessing it will last for many years.

Machine Regularly Freezes Due to Cap Issues
Overall, works very well, quality of ground beans is great for our french press, and materials seem solid. Unfortunately, after about four months of use, one issue keeps popping up.
Small grounds can fall into the back where the “safety” latch meets the lid. For the motor to operate, the lid must be secure, which includes a tab pushing a small trigger or switch at the back. This is located in a narrow slot. Unfortunately, coffee grounds sometimes fall into the slot, and the machine will either not work or will jump on for a second and stop. I suspect that small pieces may end up down around the spinning mechanism and have the same effect; however, I haven’t confirmed that.
Solution: You need to use the little brush, a toothpick, or a blast of air to clear it. So far, those have worked, though I can imagine some day a piece may get lodged, and disassembling half the devise to get to it is probably not worth the time.
I still use it every day. It is much improved compared with a similar grinder I’ve used. It is also always on the verge of randomly freezing due to this issue. Caveat emptor.

Super simple operation; you set your grind level and coffee bean quantity then simply press the on button. The grinder does the rest and the results are consistent. Unlock the cover, open and free the receptable with a small twist then pour into your coffee machine. Reset everything and it is ready for next time. The noise is as expected for this type of device, not too loud but still there.
Only 2 things to consider. One on your first operation open the grinder for a while so it catches your ambient temp/humidity otherwise if too dry the grinder coffee will stick to the cover. But that only happened on first grind. The second is the marker for aligning the cover is in the back, it would have been better in front but once you get used to centering the notch when closing it then it work alright.
