Works very well
I had a hard time selecting a coffee maker. Thought a metal carafe would be best to avoid breakage, but reviews of most brands complained about drips while pouring coffee. Other brands and models with glass pots seemed to also have too many customer issues or didn’t fit into our kitchen location too well. It just seemed like there was no such thing as a good coffee maker. I considered buying our original brand, but it was twice the price and had problems (more later). Hamilton Beach makes lots of items but isn’t one of what I’ll say, mainline coffee makers.We have had this unit for 2 months now and very satisfied with it. Coffee taste very good. It doesn’t put out a lot of steam while brewing so no risk of excessive moisture affecting the upper cabinets. The front water fill works, maybe a little slow for some users, but I’m fine with that. Our old unit had a rear fill, which meant the coffee maker had to sit near the front of the counter AND the glass pot would drip water if you tried to pour too fast anyway and there would be about a 1/4 cup of water on the counter, down the front of the cabinets and on the floor. So, I’m kind of used to pouring slowly. But the glass pot pours perfectly, no drips at any rate you choose. I think it has something to do with the design of the plastic top, there is a ‘dam’ that limits liquid flow at the spout tip. The triangular water fill gauge is ez to read compared to the old coffee maker with a flat viewing window (several times I made the mistake of trying to add a second pot of fresh water). The unit doesn’t have a beeper when finished brewing, but that is actually a plus for me. The only negative may be the warmer plate is only on for 2 hrs, an option of 4 hrs would be nice but we are ok with just 2 hrs. I have the unit in a corner, at an angle, just enough to swing open the coffee basket, and it takes up very little space. So I am happily satisfied with this unit, more than I expected.

Decent for the price
Easy to use, i like that the basket swings out and water reservoir is on front. It is easy to program for setting up at night for ready coffee in the morning.The cleaning warning came on after 4 uses but I ignored it and it went out. I would like the option to leave the warmer on longer than 2 hours sometimes but overall I am happy with the coffee maker.

Great coffee!
We are very pleased with this coffee maker for a couple reasons. First, the front fill design for the water is so convenient! This was what I was searching for and what lead me to purchase the product, but secondly, the bold setting feature on the coffee maker is great! We used to use extra coffee to get a bolder flavor. Now, we use only the recommended number of scoops with the bold feature and, Wow! Itâs superb! Weâve had no issues with the machine, the pot, or the settings. Excellent value and coffeeð

Recommend this coffee maker!
My husband and I are pleased with this coffee maker. He prefers black coffee and I add creamer, so we use the bold setting and usually brew 10 cups and the taste of the coffee is just right for us both.Pros:-Front access for adding the water and filling the brew basket is VERY convenient, meaning we donât have to move the machine around on the counter.-We have brewed 3 different types of coffee, which were often bitter tasting in my old machine, but this coffee maker has brewed great tasting coffee with no bitter taste.-The carafe is enclosed on three sides and I think that keeps the coffee hot for a longer period of time after the warming plate shuts off. (2 hours)-Auto shut-off is a must, in my opinion and this machine has that function. I have not use the programmable feature yet. Also, the display is easy to read and easy to program.-May seem minor, but I like the handle on the brew basket as there is no mess discarding the grounds.Cons:-The carafe and lid seem a little fragile, so I feel like I need to be extra careful when handwashing them.-The water reservoir is at the very back left side of the machine. Itâs clear to see the water level but since I need to have it on the left side of my countertop next to my refrigerator, itâs a little awkward to read.-This model does not come with a water filter, but looks like there is a place to put one.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend, if you want a good quality product, for a reasonable price, that brews a great cup of coffee.

Great coffeemaker for the price!
I purchased this Hamilton Beach coffee maker to replace one that I had been using for the last four years when it stopped brewing (nothing lasts forever). Though the previous Hamilton Beach coffee maker was a higher end model, this one has many of the same features for far less.I like that it takes regular filters so thereâs no need to have to purchase #4 cone type filters. This was a blessing in disguise as one time we accidentally ordered regular filters but then had no use for them. But we kept them so when this coffee maker arrived we were good to go.Coffee brews fast (at least while itâs new). About ten minutes for a full pot.Easy cleaning. Canter is dishwasher safe as is the filter basket, though we normally wash by hand. It has a clean cycle function although the manual says the cleaning indicator should only come on once a week. On mine it seems to light up every few days even though we use filtered water. Iâm not sure why this is but you can reset it by pressing and releasing the power button. Certainly not going to clean it every few days as that would be overkill.The manual states to change the water filter on a schedule but thereâs a problem here; this specific model does bot have a filter or at least mine didnât. I use filtered water anyway but strange they would mention that considering it doesnât exist or is this something to be purchased separately? Either way it could be for a variant of this model so not going to dock a star for that as itâs still a great coffee maker.All in all still a pretty good coffee maker with a timer and flavor selector that will get the job done without breaking the bank. Hamilton Beach appliances have always been great for the price point and pretty reliable so long as you take care of them.Recommended.
