Organic Round Midnight Whole Bean Coffee
Very happy with this coffee, it smelled wonderful opening the bag and once ground up made a delicious pot of coffee in my French press. I have not tried it in a carafe yet. I’m not a notes and hints of things person so no comment on that part, I just like a good cup of dark coffee.

Nice bold flavor without bitterness
We really like this Groundwork coffee midnight whole bean coffee. The description made me believe this would be darker than it is, which is great for me. I like a full bodied mellow coffee. The beans has a wonderful fragrance before and after grinding. Good quality coffee.

Excellent coffee – Being organic is a big plus!
I’ve been enjoying this 10 ounce bag of coffee beans, and have tried it in both a drip coffee maker, as well as a little “mocha pot”. Both methods produced excellent coffee and I can say I’m now a fan of this brand. I hadn’t heard of them before, but now that their on my radar and I had a chance to sample their coffee, I’ll be ordering from them again.Although being “organic” doesn’t improve the taste, or at least not to my untrained palate, but I can certainly appreciate the more planet-friendly nature of the way it’s produced.

Smooth Dark Roast
I have a soft spot for dark roast coffee and I had to get my hands on a bag after having just gone to Los Angeles and trying out a coffee from one of their cafes. I usually just drink my coffee black with a bit of sugar and I found a cup of the Groundwork coffee to be enjoyable. It’s a tad more acidic than some of the other dark roast coffee’s beans I’ve brewed in the past, but it doesn’t bother me.

Has good bold taste
I like that the taste is bold but good, It can turn a little on the bitter side depending on how you brew it but overall its a great tasting coffee. Also I like that it has some aromatics to it when brewing it in a normal cheap coffee machine.I feel like the level of caffeine is lower than my regular coffee since I drank it at night and was able to sleep alright. But it depends on the person. Overall a good tasting coffee.

A good somewhat dark coffee with little bitterness. Good price.
This is a full-bodied coffee that goes down smooth with very little aftertaste.I have reviewed many new-to-me coffees via the Vine program. Several have gone directly into the trash. This will not be one of those.The company’s societal purpose and responsible farming are to be lauded. And, previously unknown to me, has a roastery in my backyard in Portland OR along with the original one in Los Angeles. Plus cafÃ©s all along the West Coast.I have seen this product in my local Vancouver, WA grocery store and never tried it. I’m glad I did now. This one is a keeper. $16 is an average price for small-company specialty coffees like this.However, it is not going to replace my typical morning wake-me-up: Kick A** from Kicking Horse coffee. It’s a good after-lunch blend.Recommended.My rating system:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value!4 Stars = Excellent product. A solid buy.3 Stars = It provides some value, but perhaps not as advertised.2 Stars = A little dubious, so do your research. Read the critical reviews!1 Star = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.

Best aroma yet
I am not a coffee perfectionist, but I enjoy a few cups every morning. I used to think I was more of a blonde roast girly, but as I get older, I find that I love a good strong dark roast with a splash of a flavored creamer. What gets me most excited is the smell of the coffee. To me there is nothing more comfortable than starting the day with the smell of coffee brewing. Now, I have a very fancy Bosch coffee maker that grinds the beans needed for my cuppa. These beans are very dark in color and strongly aromatic out of the bag. The grinding releases even more of that scent and you would think I have coffee scented candles burning throughout the house when this is brewing. Thankfully, the taste is good too. Not my favorite in the taste category, but works well as a morning cuppa to get you going. Using the splash of creamer takes away some of the bitterness of the dark roast but this is a good strong cup of coffee in the am.

A delight to drink
Groundwork Coffee’s Round Midnight creates a delicious cup of coffee that never disappoints no matter how you brew it. I have prepared Round Midnight in an AeroPress, a Nespresso Vertuo, and a regular Keurig and each time you get a consistently tasty cup of coffee. My favorite method has been with the Vertuo surprisingly; fine grind in a refillable pod creates a very vibrant tasting cup of coffee. The tasting notes of toasted marshmallow and cocoa really shine in this method. The cups made from the AeroPress and Keurig (medium grind on both) are good as well but I found the Vertuo really brought the flavors out. It’s possible the fine grind gets the best out of this coffee.I recommend trying Midnight Round no matter how you prepare it. No matter what you do, you end up with a smooth, easy to drink cup of coffee that pleases!
