A Jar for Many Uses
I use lock lid jars for multiple products: my homemade jams, jellies butters, and dry good products such as flour, sugar, grains, etc. The silicone gasket is a perfect sealer and will last much longer than the old rubber ones, and are easily replaceable. The jars come in assorted sizes and shapes and the prices are very reasonable.

Ideally sized. A little bigger than a softball. Really nicely made. Closes securely. I’d say you’re better off hand-washing these. I ordered a set of two, one to make “creme fraiche” in, and the other to keep honey in. There’s a kind of latex-like gasket that works with the bail closure to seal the contents. Nice heavy glass, one of those just-right type of shapes. Human scaled, functional, and attractive. High recommended.

I feel like with these type of sealing jars there’s always a risk it’s not sealing well however it feels like it does with this. for the time I have had them I haven’t had any issues but do know a fall could break them if it was high enough.
