The problem with this is that the jar’s lid is not a snug fit. This will be fine for a piece that isn’t moved around a lot, but for my purposes, this wasn’t great.

These are surprisingly nice
Really pleased with these, especially since I have come to expect most things from Amazon to be pretty cheap. The lids fit well, the glass is strong and clear, wood finish is nice.

Perfect for wet specimens
These jars are perfect for wet specimens. Or at least that is what I used them for. They look much nicer than other jars I’ve seen used. I expect to be ordering more maybe of other sizes too.

don’t lift from top
I really like this jar and use it often for cookies. Unfortunately, my son tried to lift the jar by grabbing only the wooden top. It is a good seal but not strong enough for lifting when full of cookies. It fell and broke. But I like it so well I bought another.
