There are 3 WS-D5 versions
Our break room had a Jura J9.3 for years. We loved it but my boss wanted something that would let us order drinks from our desks (use a mobile app). He got us the black version of this WS-D5 machine from a China website and sold our Jura. This is when our “months long” Expresso Machine nightmare began.First, we discovered that WS-D5 uses Tuya/Smartlife app. It’s a solid app for controlling many WiFi devices BUT when WS-D5 goes into standby/sleep mode YOU CAN’T ORDER ANY DRINKS!Then we found MORE CONS that resulted in a return of WS-D5 expresso machine:2. If you want more than 2.7 ounce expresso, you MUST select Double Expresso. This forces 2 complete machine cycles, uses twice as much coffee beans and takes much longer to get 1 drink.3. If you make doubles, you MUST disassemble machine and clean brewer every 4 drinks.4. No drip tray indicator to prevent overflow.5. Grinder needs disassembly and cleaning every 4 drinks if you make doubles.Putting a teaspoon of instant Nescafe Expresso into a glass of water and nuking it is MUCH faster, cheaper and tastes the same. PLUS, no machine parts to clean! Wish we still had the Jura (in photo next to WS-D5).
