Size matters
i liked this so much, i bought one for a friend the next day. I find it perfect in every way… except one. i am single and make a cup of tea one at a time, which is why i bought this, but my cups are 16oz and make a realistic cup of 14oz. This press makes a realistic cup of 10oz, and even has convenient markers on the inside so you can measure when filling. Realistically, if you use a standard 8oz cup, this is perfect for making a cup of tea or coffee. i’m going to buy a larger press, (i’ve found a similar 17oz press) so i can fill my cup. i still give this 5 stars, just be aware and measure your favorite cup first and make sure what you get is a couple of ounces over the size of your cup since you cannot fill the press to the brim. This is indeed a 12oz press, but it makes a 10oz cup of beverage.

Great Product
I’m very happy with this brewing method in general and with this little device in particular. It’s attractive, solid, practical, easy to use, easy to care for, and it makes a terrific cup of coffee for one. It has what appears to be an insulated wall, keeping the coffee hotter longer, but I don’t know how effective that is. It’s being marketed as camping gear, and I believe it’s solid enough for that if that’s what you want, but I use it at home. It’s actually quite modern-looking and attractive. Not satisfied with automatic drip, Keurigs, percolating, or other methods, this is where my coffee Odyssey has led me. I wanted something without plastic parts to avoid microplastics, and this fit the bill. It does take some patience, however. It takes me 6-7 minutes to get a kettle of water boiling, then I let it brew for 5-6 minutes more. By the time it’s done brewing, it’s lowered to a drinkable temperature, and it makes a terrific cup of coffee that is delicious, aromatic, and isn’t bitter. I like this so much, in fact, that I don’t need to disguise it with cream or sugar: I drink it Americano. Inside the device are markings so you fill it with water accurately. While it is advertised as making 12 oz., at least two of those are retained in the coffee grounds, so what is produced is closer to 8 oz. It’s alright for one person though there are times I wish I had a second cup, so, yeah, maybe a larger unit that makes 2 cups is the way to go. I recommend this product without reservation. Life is too short to drink bad coffee. Enjoy your STFU French Press!

Great Little Single Serve French Press
I’m never really been a big coffee drinker, though I love cappuccino. With all the new creamer flavors and syrups, you can pretty much make any cup of coffee taste similar. And I’ve always wanted to try a French Press coffee maker. This one worked great, without all the trouble of using a big machine. It’s stainless steel, sturdy, well made, and comes with an extra mesh filter. I always use distilled water, and heat it in an electric kettle, so I don’t have to worry about build up. When you’ve made your coffee, you can just dump out the excess grounds, and give it a good rinse, which easily removes any leftover grounds, and it’s ready to go next time. It is really a romantic way of making coffee, and this French press doesn’t disappoint. I can even make my hot green tea in it too. I would give it a good soap and water wash every week, to keep it clean.

Perfect for my compact camping set.
I do not drink coffee. I use this to make fresh hot chocolate and it does the job well. The press is made of stainless steel and feels well made. It comes with two extra straining screens. I prepared a few cups of hot chocolate with it and the finished product was amazing. The outside of the press stays cool while the chocolate is steeping. I would recommend it for a person that needs to press a drink for a single person or has limited space.
