I bought two of these. I can’t get one of them to open and the other has split down the side as if it expanded for some reason. Even if they were suitable for use they wouldn’t last very long as they’re cheaply made

The almost paper-thin bamboo of the slip-fit “cover” for the bamboo tube cracked after two months of a dry Colorado winter. It was sitting on a shelf (filled with incense), awaiting a visit from a friend for whom it was intended as a gift. It was highly disappointing to see that it was cracked as I handed it to him.
