Reliable Infuser for Everyday Use
I use this infuser for teas, soups, and broths, and it has become an essential kitchen tool. Its flexibility and sturdiness hold up beautifully in the dishwasher. The only mishap I encounteredâmy own faultâwas when the chain slipped off the lid during a wash because I was careless while loading the dishwasher. Fortunately, it wasnât brokenâjust unhooked from the lid’s loop. I easily reattached it and now make sure to keep the chain inside the silverware caddy. Straining large quantities of tea leaves and spices once felt like a chore, but has become a delightful experience. Iâm truly glad I treated myself to this purchase!

Finally a tea strainer for my biggest teapot
As other reviewers note, it’s made of thin metal — but it’s still thicker than the kinds of stainless steel mesh tea baskets & infusers I use with smaller teapots. Easier to clean too, in comparison. No more bits of chamomile flowers stuck in the mesh, yay.

Perfect for using loose tea leaves to make iced tea
I have a large collection of loose tea leaves that Iâve wanted to use to make pictures of iced tea. This is the perfect size to use to infuse a quart or two of tea. We pretty well live on ice tea at our house, and this will help me use up some of the loose tea leaves I have experimented with for hot tea.

Mediocre product
This large infuser has a fine mesh that keeps all but the finest particles inside. Youâd have to use a tightly woven bag to prevent any tea or spices at all from settling out, but this does a fine job on its own. The stainless material means it wonât rust. I use this to make sun tea in a gallon jar. Iâd give this infuser 5 stars if it wasnât for the fit of the lid. You have to carefully line up the threads to screw the top on and this still requires several attempts if itâs to be seated correctly. The material is thin and flexible, so If you try to tighten the lid at all, and I mean this quite literally, the threads pop out of alignment and you have to carefully start again. Because you canât tighten it well, bits of material that wonât fit through the mesh are able to float up and through the lid threads when the infuser is completely immersed. Iâm concerned that one time when Iâm lifting the infuser with its soaked contents out of the container, the lid is going to pop off and spill the contents back into the container.Iâve seen similar large infusers with locking clamps on the lid, but the reviews mostly say these are also cheaply constructed. I realize that this being a product made in China I shouldnât expect high quality, but itâs still unfortunate that a higher quality product canât be found on the market. When this falls apart, which it no doubt will when the chain eventually falls off or the lid wonât stay on, I suppose Iâll make my own fabric steeping bags if a better product hasnât made it to market by then.

Works well for large chai
Makes for steeping the morning chai for the family so much easier. No extra amount of tea needed.

Works very well!
I am using this to brew 1/2 gallon of tea at a time. There is plenty of room to brew a gallon. The holes are very fine and no tea leaves get into the water. It is easy to clean. The lid is easy to screw on and off.I highly recommend this.
