Lab Tech Turned Home Chef Approved
As someone who has worked many years in various labs, I’ve become exceedingly spoiled by the availability of precise measuring tools like beakers and graduated cylinders. As a home chef I find that the measuring tools offered for cooking are somewhat disappointing. The measuring cup checks all my boxes.1. The glass is made with the same quality that I’ve used while working in the lab.2. The measuring lines are etched, so I won’t have to worry about anything being rubbed off over time.3. It has metric measurements on one side and imperial measurements on the other4. It has a handle that comfortably fits my fingers5. The spout is perfectly shaped for a precise pour6. It is much lighter than the beakers than I’ve used in the lab and it puts less strain on my wristI honestly think that this line of measuring cups are a real game changer and I’m thinking of getting more cups with different sizes.

Precise measurements for the kitchen
This is not like my other big-name glass measuring cups for kitchen use, but seems a lot more versatile. The very clear measurements and non-tapered sides are perfect for more precise measurements than I can get with my other options. It’s overall pretty thin and lightweight, which I expect means it cannot take quite as much of a beating as a thicker cup – but it’s a good trade-off. The pour spout also allows accuracy with thin liquids. It heats water to boiling in the microwave while the handle remains cool.

Good item to have in the kitchen
The one I received have a chip on the handle. QC should do a better job in inspection. Otherwise it works well.

Beaker at Home!
I’ve always used beakers for coffee and other drinks in my lab. It’s easy to keep track of how much you’ve drank and it’s nice to store contents in a container that won’t break easily. These are just like my Borosilicate beakers down to even the sound they make when you set it down, I’m quite impressed! Especially given my beakers are usually twice as expensive. Plus, the insulated handle is perfect for hot drinks, no more wrapping a small towel around my beaker for coffee!

Goodbye Faded Paint; Hello Etched Glass
I have been loyal to a well known brand of measuring cups forever. You know, the ones with the red paint that doesnât hold up. Finally, a much better product! Ackerâs high borosilicate glass measuring cup. They had me at dishwasher safe + etched glass! I am also impressed with the pour spout. What an improvement. Recommended.

Great for a chemist
Good for beer, and also good for measuring; a great curiosity mug.

great borosilicate measuring cup
The beaker is well made, with no defects or rough edges.I chilled the beaker to sub freezing (-5F), then poured boiling water into it, and it survived without cracking or complaining. The graduations are etched rather than painted on, so should last longer than paint.

Should be shatterproof in combination temperatures
Solid cup and looking forward to putting it through it’s paces with the combination of hot and cold liquids.Visible etching for measurements nice handle and I like the straight design of the walls as opposed to the v-shape of most measuring cups
