Not amazing, but not bad…
If you’re an espresso aficionado, you’ll probably want to skip this one, but it does make a pretty good shot or two of very strong coffee. If you’re goal is an espresso *drink* (latte, cappuccino, etc), as opposed to straight shots, this does a respectable job.My biggest complaint with it, though, is there isn’t enough clearance between the portafilter and the base to fit much of anything other than an actual espresso cup. So if your goal is a drink you’re going to add other stuff to, you’re not going to be able to fit even a small “regular”-sized mug or cup — you’re going to have to pull your shot into something much smaller and then transfer it into the bigger cup. Same goes for the steam wand. It’s about an inch too short to be able to use effectively with anything other than a very small pitcher. It’s really too bad because I can’t imagine it would have cost them that much more to just design it with an inch or two more height to the machine itself and to the wand.But alas…it still makes a pretty good espresso-like coffee

Premium quality machine
Just got my hands on this espresso machine, and I’m genuinely impressed at what you get for under $200. As someone who’s been making do with a basic coffee maker, this feels like a serious upgrade without the scary price tag of those super high-end machines.The build quality really stands out – lots of stainless steel instead of cheap plastic, and it feels sturdy on the counter. The steam wand actually works (if you’re into lattes, you know this isn’t always a given in this price range), and I love being able to check the temperature on the digital display.Little things that make a big difference:(1) Huge water tank so you’re not constantly refilling(2) Heats up fast in the morning(3) Controls are simple enough that you won’t need the manual after day one(4) Makes consistently good espressoQuick tip: after steaming milk, just run some hot water through the wand for a few seconds before making another espresso. The machine will tell you when to do this – nice touch.For the money, this punches way above its weight. Great starter machine if you’re getting into home espresso, but honestly nice enough that you might not feel the need to upgrade.

Great machine for all

This machine is also great for someone with limited counter space but who still wants to enjoy quality espresso at home. This machine comes with everything you need to get started, and as you get more experienced, you can always add on more advanced tools.I like that it has a warming rack, which can be used for many purposes, but for me it keeps my cups warm and ready. One of my favorite features is the rotating steam/frother wandâitâs longer than most, allowing you to use a range of cup or pitcher sizes, which is a big plus for making the perfect froth. Nice cup of espresso
It makes a great cup of espresso. But I am still struggling with getting the froth right. Also, the machine does not come with a frothing pot or espresso sized cups. You will need to purchase these items separately.

Superb Expresso machine!
Day after Christmas I had to return a similar machine ( I wonât name brand here) that I had purchased for my wife as a gift. That unit completely stopped working after 5 cafe con leche ( latte) made for friends, and of course I had lost faith in such machines.However, I came across this coffee maker and the reviews were night and day in comparison to the other unit, so I made the purchase, and all I can say is what a machine.It is very simple to use, but very well thought out. The other unit was loud and to make the expresso took forever. This unit takes seconds to make plus, a superb taste for a smooth coffee with a delicious foam on top that normally would take a bit of effort when making the cafecito ( Cuban expresso) the traditional way.I donât know about the $500 units, as Iâve never owned one, but this unit is truly all I can ask for my coffee.Highly recommend.
