I love espresso. So, after spending two weeks in Europe and enjoying cappuccino on a daily basis, it was time to upgrade my Keurig coffee maker to a Nespresso machine. This meant it was also time to find more accommodating espresso drinking vessels! After browsing the web, these were just what I needed for both function and aesthetics!The Italian style and design of these cups are what enticed me the most. And, when I finally had them in hand, they didn’t disappoint. They are sized perfectly for a double shot of espresso with enough room left for milk and foam. You can grip the cup comfortably while sipping, and the material offers a classic, luxurious and elegant look. In regard to functionality, they are both dishwasher and microwave safe which makes them convenient for daily use. They are exceptional for presentation and sit beautifully on the island of my kitchen, as they most certainly deserve countertop space!Overall, I couldn’t be happier with these products. They have enhanced my cappuccino drinking experience and make the mornings more enjoyable. If you love espresso as much as I do and enjoy the finer things in life, you need these! I’m a foodie, having spent a large portion of my professional career in hospitality, F&B, catering, event mgt, etc… and through it all, there has been a simple style of espresso cup and service that never solicited complaint, even if it was otherwise unremarkable. The fact that it was imminently satisfying itself is the praise. Here in the US, this is about as traditional and welcome a style of service that you can find for espresso, and even coffee in general.Bome white is itself always lovely to me, and while not necessarily ideal for a variety of events, the coffee service always is. For example, I can throw an island theme, and go with pastel square service ware. Yet, if I in turn go with bone white coffee service, no one will say a negative word.Sort of like how black goes with everything, so this style does likewise.In the end, the pieces are lovely, having a nice weight to them. The saucers are perfect for the espresso served with a biscuit or other accoutrement. All in all, I love this set, and trust it will be quite useful going forward.
