Great tasting coffee âï¸
This coffee tastes really good: bold but not bitter, it has a great coffee aroma, tastes the way Columbian coffee should taste, not watered down. You can make a light or stronger/darker brew of coffee depending on how much coffee you use. It also tastes and smells like fresh coffee…I’d recommend it âï¸ âï¸

Flavorful, rich tasting coffee
Love this coffee. Always arrives fresh. Has enough body that it can be used for French Press. Never bitter and very smooth.

High on My List: Organic Coffee
My lifestyle is turning towards nearly everything organic. I, for one, wonder if the coffee I drink is toxic or healthy. After reading some articles on how processed non-organic coffee is, I want to avoid them like the plague. In my opinion, any chemical(s) added to a plant are regarded by our body as foreign and attacked by our immune system. It just wreck havoc on our body since it can’t be absorbed. In an online article I read, it stated: “Coffee is one of the most chemically treated crops, with some estimates stating every acre of coffee gets treated with 25 pounds of agricultural chemicals…studies have shown that roasting the coffee seems to decrease toxins by about 85 percent. The 15 percent that remains is still enough to encourage buying organic coffee instead…” Pretty scary, yes?On the hand, well-sourced coffee acts as an antioxidant. With this mind, I feel a lot better drinking this coffee. I do not get the jitters from drinking two cups; however, drinking two cups often necessitates frequent trips to the ladies room.Taste is another factor. I chose this blend of coffee as a concession to my husband’s preference for strong tasting coffee, and my preference for a mild, smooth blend. I have to say, that based on my taste, this coffee is a bit on the bitter side. I will want to try the “Breakfast Blend” from this company to discover if the taste is more to my liking.Overall, I am pleased with this coffee. Trying another blend that is milder is on my list of

*Dark* & Delicious!
First off, I bought this coffee specifically because it’s organic, fair trade, and ethically sourced. Because coffee can be absolutely loaded with leftover pesticides I always go organic and I love that the company really does give back to local communities and helps to give people better lives. As far as flavor, whoa is it strong! And that’s comparing it to Pete’s organic French Roast which I thought was the strongest I’d had before this one. We use this in a single cup porcelain immersion dripper and it seems to be the perfect grind for that, which isn’t always the case with pre-ground coffee. The aroma upon opening the bag was dark and sweet and powerful. I learned quickly that I really only needed about 2/3 the amount of coffee that I usually use to make a nice dark cup and I don’t have to steep it quite as long to get the same strength. The first cup I used too much and steeped it too long (the same as I would have with my other coffee) and it was cloyingly strong with a hint of bitterness even through the honey and cream that I use. That’s actually a bonus for me though because now I can use less coffee (and in turn spend less money) to get the same strong cup. As long as I use the right amount & steep for the correct amount of time it has a nice smooth taste that’s very full flavored and enjoyable. I will absolutely be buying this again & will probably end up making the switch from Pete’s.

Equal Exchange Organic Ground Coffee, Breakfast Blend
I really liked the first bag of this coffee I bought but this most recent bag isn’t so great. If you have ever added hot water to a cup of too-strong coffee, then that is how this tastes freshly brewed. I can taste the water yet the burned taste remains and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I dripped both bags so the change in taste isn’t due to any change in brewing. I have a coffee bean grinder but keep a bag of already ground around for when I’m rushed. Consequently, I bought the first bag some time ago since I didn’t use it every day. Perhaps there has been a change in roasting or something since then. The coffee is organic and fair-trade, both important to me so perhaps I’ll try this again someday since I liked the first bag. I realize taste like so many other things is subjective but this bag I can’t recommend.

Favorite coffee company
If you ever have a chance to research coffee and the beans that are used, please do so! So many companies say they are organic or quality beans or fair trade. This coffee is all it says. Delicious. Smells amazing and Arabica Beans. The company is fair trade and concentrated with the environment and sustainability and fairness of the growers. Def recommend and will buy again and again!
